Dear Family,

On August 4th we will celebrate in Kodiak with our True Parents this special Holiday. It is said that when Father created this holy day his prayer of dedication was filled with tears as Father wept profusely without stopping.

With this in mind, even though our understanding is so limited, let us share this holy day with a deep mind and heart toward God. On this day in 1997 eight sevens could be claimed as completed - (7th year of the decade), on the 7th month, 7th day, 7th hour, 7th minute and 7th second while Father was 77 years old

Father could claim the victory of the 3.6 million couple completion of the preblessing. Securing this providential number with the holy wine and True Parents prayer allowed God to open the gate for the 36 million couple and 360 million couple change of blood lineage to be completed. One of the most significant aspects of this holy day was that the conditions were set that claimed enough foundation through the change of blood lineage surrounding True Parents that God and True Parents could claim forever the condition that nothing could ever stop, destroy or divert the foundation of God's dwelling with humanity through our True Parents and blessed families. Without this level of condition God could not claim that the Blessing was irreversible. From this day the internal and external conditions were set that created the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath because God's ideal of creation (blessed families) on a Cosmic level, representing heaven and earth could never be reversed. The conditions are set and the foundation of God is absolute, eternal and unchanging --- forever. That means from this point on the Satanic world will continue to decline in power.

That's why Father could weep. Until this moment God could not rest for one second in the 6000 year course of providential restoration. Due to this accomplishment of the 7.8 Jeol True Parents could proclaim the Cosmic Sabbath for God and could also proclaim the Sabbath for True Parents. Another key element to the Day of the Realm of Cosmic Sabbath for Parents of Heaven and Earth is that from this moment True Father could open the gate for couples to blessed in the spirit world and to open the gates of heaven so that eventually couples blessed in the spirit world can dwell in the heavenly kingdom. In November, 1997 at RFK Stadium the door opened for immense numbers of couples from the spirit world to be free to receive True Parents blessing. On December 1, 1997 they proclaimed the "Declaration of the Opening of the Right to Give the Blessing in the Spiritual World," through which Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim were given the rightful position to conduct Blessings of spirit people. Since then spirits could receive the Blessing with the absolute authority of the spiritual world.

Satan's lineage has been irreversibly cut forever. For God to truly rest Father stated on this occassion that there must be no boundaries between nations and peoples for God to truly rest. Let us now march with firm resolve on the path to complete this historic transition by expanding Cheon Il Guk and completing the blessing process both in the spirit world and on earth until all are restored into the lineage of God and the nations of the world become engrafted into the Kingdom Of God on earth.

The fourth Chil Pal Jeol ceremony was held victoriously at Cheonseong Wanglim Palace(Chung Pyung lake) with True Parents present. Through his congratulatory prayer at Pledge Service, True Father thanked God for the fact that the entire universe has become the land for God's rest and for His guidance that has allowed the preparation of the Realm of the Liberation of the Cosmos, where God and True Parents can work freely. Father proclaimed the Realm of God's Liberation transcending national, worldwide and cosmic boundaries. After having proclaimed the liberation of individuals and of the Eight Stages with the spirit of independence, and for God to allow the entire cosmos to be overflowing with the eternally liberated ideal of the Kingdom of Heaven, he sincerely prayed for us to be able to inherit as the Lord's sons and daughters, standing in the position of the Lord independently. Father also prayed for all of us to be able to pray victorious prayers and to have the supreme authority to go forward to the free and liberated world.

In the congratulatory commemorative service, which began at 9:00 a.m., Father greatly emphasized the abolition of national borders and becoming masters of true love. National borders were made because of Satan. Therefore God can eternally rest only when all national borders are abolished. He emphasized that we would know there was no need of national boundaries if we truly understood God, the spirit world and true love. He further emphasized that not only all the national boundaries, but also the boundaries between all religions, tribes, nations, and in the Heavenly Kingdom, should be abolished.

True love is to be perfected by going through eight stages; the time of being in the womb, the time of infancy, the time of adolescence, the time of marriage, the time of childhood, the time of motherhood, the time of grandmotherhood and the time of queen-ship. Father emphasized that we should create families of filial sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, the master of the eight-stage love. He also said that the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath can begin, and the door of the Heavenly Kingdom of liberation on earth can open only when we became the masters of true love and all national borders are abolished.

[excerpt: ] Congratulations for the declaration of "The Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth." True Parents said that on July 7 (lunar calendar) of each year from now on we will commemorate the "7.8" Holy Day (meaning: eight times the number seven), and that this will be an important Holy Day among the eight major Holy Days.

On August 21, 1997, Julian Gray sent out unofficial and slightly edited notes written by one participant who attended the August 9th -- August 11th Leaders' Conference in 1997 August 9th - solar (July 7th - lunar) 1997 was the Day of Declaration of "The Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth" [excerpt from the participant's report about what took place August 9th: ] At the Kuri Training Center outside Seoul, at seven seconds past seven minutes past seven on the seventh day of the seventh month of 1997, True Father prayed to offer up the victory of meeting the 3.6 million pre-blessing goal, and creating a new holy day.

Throughout his prayer, True Father was overcome with tears. Afterward, he told Chung Hwan Kwak that he was crying so deeply that it completely overwhelmed his mind. All the participants (whom True Father estimated were 7,000 in all, representing the whole world) were moved by the great emotion True Father showed in his prayer. Clearly this was no ordinary occasion, but one of cosmic moment. True Father also said later that this was the most important proclamation he had ever made.

The content of his prayer was summarized by a translator later: Christianity should have embraced True Father in 1945. Because they did not, he had to go the seven-year course to indemnify their failure, and then restore all things through all levels in the 40-year course. Now, through the victory of the 3.6 million couples, we have the national foundation to protect the tribe, family, couple and individual, for the first time in history. Thus it is now possible to declare the realization of the cosmic realm of rest for the True Parents. The goal was achieved through the cooperation of the spirit world and the angelic world. Now we can go ahead to achieve the blessing of 36 million and 360 million couples, and thus the whole world, liberating all families in the world from Satan. This is a day of thanks and celebration, and the declaration of victory.

After the prayer, the ceremonies of a holy day were performed, with bows, the recitation of the pledge, the prayer of True Parents and the cutting of a cake.

At 10:00 am, True Parents returned and True Father delivered a speech in which he explained the significance of the day and the proclamation. Unofficial notes from the simultaneous translation of Lynne Kim follow. [Excerpts from True Father's message of August 9th:] In the past, there were no families in the spirit world. Now, through the blessing, we are making families that can continue in the spirit world. There is no place that cannot receive the blessing now. Stop hiding. Go to the leaders and ministers of your country and tell them this is the way to reverse the fall. Ours is a religion for families, not individuals. Thus it is of benefit to society as a whole.

Heaven is empty. We need to fill Heaven with families. Through the fulfillment of conditions on earth, God should be able to move back and forth between heaven and earth, without facing barriers.

This is the day on which God and True Parents can rest. The conditions to create a realm of rest for God are accomplished in eight stages: individual, couple, family, tribe/ancestors, nation, world, cosmos and God. True Parents have accomplished this, but all families must achieve it through restoration.

The ideal of the realm of rest for us is to have the peace to be able to have the wife at home and to be able to spend time with her, to be able to relax and enjoy all things together. There will be unchanging heaven and earth in peace. If you want, you will be able to sleep during the day. You will be able to be like a flower, living in harmony with your surroundings.

Even if you die for your mission, your children and grandchildren will follow you and bring it to completion. If we die on the way to God, we will be in His eternal embrace.

I have a foundation which is frightening, enabling me to proclaim God's rest.

Parents have to make the way for God to come into the family. No people are that way yet. You are all failures. You must make a place for God to rest in your couple.

The collapse of the contemporary world has occurred to open the way for the spread of the foundation of the new messiah. Once the new foundation is made, God will be able to come and go freely, to individuals, families, tribes, nations, the world and cosmos. Get the 3.6 million couples to find ten couples each and we will reach 36 million. Get people in your lineage to do likewise.

[Excerpts from True Father's message August 11th:] The proclamation of cosmic rest is a good condition. All have to bow their heads in front of it, including God. You can go to heaven if you are grateful all the time. I cannot deny my blood relationship with you. You can do what I ask, and go where I go. Members are connected to True Parents through the blessing.

Only the Parents of Heaven and Earth should rest, because they have made all the conditions to do so.

Here's an excerpt of True Father's prayer on the 7th day of the 7th month (July) by the lunar calendar, 1997, which was sent by Dr. Tyler Hendricks to leaders in the United States on August 9, 1999: "Today, it is the year 1997, July 7th, 7 o'clock, 7 minutes, 7 seconds. Your son, Moon Sun Myung, is age 77. These eight [recurrences] of the number seven signify that the number seven can connect to the number eight so that it becomes the time of the Sabbath and a new beginning day.

Now all Unification members, centering on a family which inherits the tradition, heart and authority of Heaven, can attend God, can have God rest in a nation, the world and the cosmos, so that they can face the victorious time when Kingship in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in Heaven are established at the same time.
