Dear Family,

Sayomi, the wife of Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, gave birth to a beatiful healthy Baby Boy !!! The Stallings were blessed in the 60 couple blessing in New York on May 27, 2001 after the conclusion of the 50 state tour. The baby boy was born at 8:11 am on March 15th (this morning).

Congratulations Archbishop and Sayomi.

Now Shin Young George Augustus Stallings has a baby brother!!!

Mrs. Sayomi Kamimoto Stallings, wife of Archbishop George Augustus Stallings, Jr., gave birth to the couple's second child, another boy, on Monday, March 15th at 8:11 a.m. at Sibley Memorial Hospital in NW Washington, DC. The baby weighed in at 7 lbs., 12.6 oz. Both mother and baby are doing extremely well. The birth was described by her midwife from Takoma Park Women's Health Center as a "textbook" delivery.

The proud parents have received and chosen the name: Young Pal Marcus Mosiah Stallings. "Young" means "Glory" and "Pal" means "Eight" in Korean, with a combined meaning of "Eight times Glory" for God in this providential season of Spring. The child was given the name by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Federation for World Peace and Unification, from whom the couple received their marriage blessing. The name Marcus Mosiah was chosen by the couple as a tribute to Marcus Mosiah Garvey, former leader of the Universal Negro Improvement Association and the first African-American leader in American history to organize masses of people in a political movement to take charge and ownership of their destiny.
