RE: Blessing Ceremony in Korea on October 12th

Dear Blessed Families,

A Blessing Ceremony will be held on October 12th, 2008 in Korea for 1st and 2nd Generation couples who have already been matched. This ceremony will be officiated by Hyung Jin Nim and Yeon Ah Nim.

In addition to Korean matched 2nd Generation couples, international 2nd Generation couples who were matched by their parents are also welcome to attend this Blessing ceremony.

Any matched members of the 2nd Generation from North America who wish to participate in this ceremony must register with the BC Blessing Department by emailing Rev. Inguk Seo, and submit all application material by September 20th.

All couples should arrive in Korea by the evening of October 10th. Following the Blessing ceremony, we will have a brief workshop in English for Blessed western 2nd Generation couples in Korea on the 13th and 14th. We are planning to visit or welcome Hyung Jin Nim on the 13th. All Blessed couples are welcome to attend.

More details will be announced soon. To register, please review the information below and submit all documents by September 20th.

1. Blessing Ceremony: Marriage Blessing for the Godly Civilization in the Sacred Reign of Peace 2008 (Second Phase)

2. Date and Time: October 12th, 2008 (Sunday), at 12 noon

3. Venue and Lodging Information: Still to be announced

4. Deadline for Application: September 20th, 2008

5. Things to Prepare:

1) Wedding suit or dress
Men: Dark-colored suit, white dress shirt, red necktie
Women: Wedding dress, white shoes

2) Blessing ring
Recently, the official Blessing rings have been changed by True Parents’ direction and Blessing rings can be purchased in Korea at the accommodations:
Prices: Men-270,000 Korean Won/ Women-230,000 Korean Won

3) FM radio for listening to simultaneous translation

6. The following items will be given out at the accommodations:

Men: Corsage and white gloves
Women: Wedding veil, bouquet, and white gloves

4) Matching Report
5) Blessing fee receipt
6) Certificate of Blessing Workshop
7) Two 8 x 10 photos- one full length, one head and shoulders
8) HIV/AIDS test
7. Blessing Fee [more than an administrative fee- a meaningful historical condition]
The standard Blessing fee is $1,500. per candidate for those traveling to Korea, or $500 for Re-Blessing applicants who paid previous fees in full. (Please use ‘Blessing fee payment form’ at bcblessing.familyfed.org)

8. 7 Day Fast

7-day fast should be done by all participants before the Blessing.
