The Words of the Kim Family from 2009 and 2010 |
Hyo Nam Kim is the second child and the eldest son of Kyu Tae Kim and Ho Kum Chung. Born in Englewood, NJ on January 13, 1988, he lived most of his life in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Before he passed away on June 26, 2010, he had just completed his junior year at Rutgers University, where he was double majoring in International Business and Communications.
The Seunghwa will be held at the KEA Church in North Haledon, NJ. For those who would like to attend, please arrive Tuesday, June 29 by 11:30 pm. The ceremony will commence at midnight and is expected to last for about 2 hours. The address is 374 Squawbrook Road, North Haledon, NJ 07508. There will also be a viewing during the ceremony.
The internment will occur at Rockland Cemetery in Sparkill, NJ. We expect to arrive there at around 10 am, so we ask that those who would like to attend arrive before then. His plot is located at Section D-2, plot 18.
Directions are as follows:
From Tappan Zee Bridge: Exit 10 New York State Thruway, Route 9W South. At second traffic light, go halfway down hill to Hickey Street. Turn right. Follow road to cemetery.
From George Washington Bridge: Palisades Parkway North to Exit 5, Route 303 North. Three traffic lights turn right onto King's Highway. Follow road to cemetery.
After the internment, the family will be hosting a lunch at an area restaurant, and details will be provided separately.
