The Words of the Kim Family from 2009 and 2010 |
One of our beloved elder sisters, Kim, Hae Young (Mrs. Eui Dong Lee, a 430 couple, Korean National Messiahs to Lithuania and) the mother of Rev. Shinchun Lee, our D9 Youth Education and Activities Coordinator from 2006-present, made her transition on the morning of Sept 1st in Korea surrounded by her family; she is the mother of 6 children. (Shinchun was still in flight, but landed shortly after.) Accompanied by her husband, she had been in Korea seeking an alternative treatment for her cancer when suddenly on Aug 30 she slipped into a coma.
I have very fond memories of her lovely smile, her generosity and her feisty spirit when she played yute on Holy Days. Fortunately, over the past 2+ years while Hae Young was living and working in Texas (where she had resided for almost 10 years) she welcomed a granddaughter and grandson from Shinchun and his wife, Keijo, into this world. Her granddaughter looks so much like her.
Here is the address of the funeral home in Seoul where her body is. I do not know if this works well.
65-207 Funeral Home Suite 5,
Hangangro
3 ga, Yongsan-gu,
Seoul, South Korea 140-757
The family reports that they have received flowers from the North East (Europe) Regional Hqtrs, which Lithuania is a nation of.
The current official Seunghwa ceremony time is Sep. 3rd 6:00 am Korean time (that would be tomorrow 4pm USA Central time). It is being held early to accommodate the travel time necessary to transport her to the hometown away from Seoul, where they will hold her Wonjon (graveside) ceremony.
Attached is the photo that will be used at her Seunghwa. I'm sorry, I don't know her exact age, but I believe she was in her early 60's.
Please continue to keep Hae Young and the Lee family in your prayers. Thank you.
Rev. Hernandez
