Among Rev. Kim's most significant achievements were a breakthrough series of Youth Federation seminars that brought together university students from South Korea and North Korea.
In 1997, Rev. Kim directed a "Pure Love Movement" among Korean youth. This campaign has educated more than 10 million young people as to the value of chastity.
Rev. Kim's publications include, Towards Pure Love Education, Theory and Reality of Sex Education, The Way of Living for Unification, and Research on the Critique of Dialectical Materialism.
Seminary President Tyler Hendricks presented the degree at a gathering of 1,000 Unification movement leaders at the church's Chung Pyung Center in Chung Pyung, Korea. UTS Trustees Dr. Chang Shik Yang and Dr. Michael Jenkins presented the doctoral hood to Rev. Kim.
