Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again an inspiration, based on the words of the True Family:
True Father: "Unless we form a tradition of loving each other, we will not create the starting point for our INDIVIDUAL PERFECTION." [1]
As long as we love brothers and sisters we grow in heart and love. We grow towards perfection of heart and love.
This love has to be unconditional. Only then can we grow:
Heung Jin Nim: "Being unconditional means not to expect any reward. You can only grow when you demonstrate UNCONDITIONAL sacrifice and thus fulfill your portion of responsibility.....
Do you love one another unconditionally or do you seek some kind of payment in return? Some people think, "I loved you, why don't you love me?" or "I gave you a present, why don't you give me one too?" or "You do not talk to me, I won't talk to you either."
This is almost a formula of how people think, yet it is one of the MAIN PROBLEMS in man. Do you give yourself to other people absolutely, unconditionally and willingly?" [2]
It is very important that we do not expect anything for our investing of love. It is extremely important that we do not calculate, but just give and forget, just wanting to be a blessing to someone else:
True Father: "If you are ready to receive NOTHING in return then you become like God, because God is always giving out love with His whole being, getting NOTHING in return. That's the point where GODLINESS starts." [3]
We need to give love with our whole being, with the desire to be a blessing to others. That is where our divinity starts, and where it grows. This is the road to perfection of heart and love. This is the way how True Parents want us to love brothers and sisters:
True Father: "I know you love me and love God, but when I look at you I want to see whether you have that love among yourselves. That becomes my joy and something beautiful to behold.
IN order to become true sons and daughters you must first love each other MORE THAN YOUR PARENTS; that is the most beautiful gift you can give your parents. If you are loving in that way then you are positioning yourself closest to the parents. Then even if you don't know Principle intellectually, no one could say you don't know the truth." [4]
Those who practice divine love do know the truth and they practice it. True Love is not only unconditional, but more than that:
True Mother: "Love is not just loving somebody who is easy to love, but enduring, forgiving, and embracing people in order to fulfill the providence."
How true!
And divine love is for everyone, not just for brothers and sisters in our movement, not only to people that are friendly to us. Divine love is for EVERYONE alike, good and bad, inside or outside of our movement.
If our love is selective; if we want to be a blessing only for certain people, then our love is far from the level of God's love. So our desire should be to be a blessing to everyone that comes across our way, without expecting anything in return, of course. What that means is that every single person that we meet needs to experience the Heart of God THROUGH US.
Heung Jin Nim: "God wants to express his heart through YOUR heart." [5]
Everyone should be able to see God and God's quality of love in us. Everyone should be able to experience God's quality of love through us, just like everyone can experience the warmth of the sun. That will have an effect on people. They will see something they have never experienced. And they might want to live in the same way of divine love. And then God's love gets spread even more:
True Father: "There have been many bells of goodness and love in history, but today you can create the greatest BELLS OF LOVE, ringing them in a desert-like world...
Let us be great bells of love ringing out in the desert. Once people hear the sound of love correctly, they will FOLLOW your pattern and imitate you and the sound of the bell will NEVER CEASE." [6]
Such bells of love will be heard by everyone, and not only heard, but experienced.
True Father: "If you love God and love humanity, everything will be ACCOMPLISHED. If you cannot do it, your spiritual training will have been in vain. No matter how great a religion's spiritual discipline may be, if it does not know how to love God, humankind and the whole universe, it will FAIL THE TEST." [7]
We may become masters and experts in everything, but if we do not strive to become experts of the Heart of God, expressing it to everyone, then we miss the mark.
That is why Father is asking us to always "sprinkle" love, to all kinds of levels:
"The entire world and universe should be eternally filled with God's love. Each individual is a carrier of that love, sprinkling it at higher and higher levels. This is your eternal destiny." [8]
It is our eternal destiny to spread the divine love of God to anyone me meet.
True Father: "Your mind and your life should overflow with GOD'S LOVE and should let the LOVE DROPS fall CONTINUOUSLY." [9]
These love drops should be drops of a love that can even love the so called enemy. The more difficult the people are that we love, the more powerful our love is. And the faster we grow toward the perfection of love.
True Father gives us a clue what it means to let "love drops" fall continuously:
"I want you to be ALWAYS humble, kind, loving and understanding of others, even though the person visiting you may be a cross or evil person -- even UNFORGIVABLY EVIL. God can then turn him/her and use him/her to help you, to make you a success." [9a]
Fortunately we have MIGHTY HELPERS in the process of learning divine love, if we call them for help:
Heung Jin Nim: "Use me, for I am here to help you! If you have called on me and haven't gotten an answer yet -- KEEP TRYING. I will come, rest assured." [10]
We need to call on Heung Jin Nim, on True Father and Jesus. That will make our path towards perfection of heart and love faster and more joyful. It will give us confidence along the way.
