Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again some inspiration, based on the words of True Family:
True Father: "If you love God and love humanity, everything will be accomplished. If you cannot do it, your spiritual training will have been in vain. No matter how great a religion's spiritual discipline may be, if it does not know how to love God, humankind and the whole universe it will fail the test." [1]
Our focus must be on developing a heart of divine love, on inheriting the divinity of God. God and True Parents want us to reach that level. And fortunately we all have that potential in our heart. It only needs to be activated and brought to life.
True Father: "The purpose of the Unification Church is to educate you to become the people who embody the love of God... So we must become a master of the love of God and the love of humanity... "
Such is our destination! To get there we have to stay on the path of divine love, no matter what comes across our way:
True Father: "No matter how long it takes and how stormy the environment, we cannot allow our inner selves to be invaded. We must continue a course of steady development." [2]
Steadfastness is very much needed. No matter what our circumstances may be, we cannot allow ourselves to lose the focus, which must be the growth of heart and love, the effort to strive to love the way God does.
True Father: "Stoppage of growth is equivalent to death. Who shall make you grow, who shall nurture you? You yourself will help yourself grow. You must grow every day!" [3]
Growth every day! There is no time to lose:
Heung Jin Nim: "Do not waste time. Use time wisely. Your days on earth are surely numbered. Do you want to stay at the same level for the rest of your life? A lot of people waste their time because they do not understand God and they do not want to live according to God's standard. But you should not waste even a second. Use every second you have. When that second has ticked by, you have to be able to say you have grown a bit more." [4]
Indeed, every moment is precious, to grow in love:
True Father: "The person who ignores the value of each and every moment to love will lose what is truly precious." [5]
Every used opportunity to practice divine love will make our heart grow. There are many opportunities, every day, every moment, to be a blessing to others. If we use all these opportunities, we can indeed grow fast, in heart and love. And we grow more and more like God:
True Father: "You should make an effort to expand yourself and grow more like God every day."
We need to reach the level of God's love in order to become an embodiment of God's love. We need to reach that quality of love:
True Father: "It would be normal for you to love only those who respond to you in love. But when you sacrificially give of your love to those who are hostile to you, you begin to reflect the real quality of God's own love. True love moves in this way. Its quality does not change regardless of the response of the people." [6]
As we go forward to that kind of love in our hearts, we will never have any regrets. We may have lost some precious time already. If we really focus on love, we can more than make up for the lost time. It is no point to lament about the past. It is better to focus on being a blessing to others, than to accuse ourselves for missed opportunities. Self-accusation is one of the main weapons of Satan. That is his way to keep us in bondage, to prevent us from advancing in heart and love. The moment we focus on heart and love, Satan loses influence over us. We will get power from God:
True Father: "As soon as you try to love people, the energy of God automatically comes to you, making you a powerful individual." [7]
And we will find fulfillment in life:
True Father: "As long as you are sure of yourself in loving God and mankind, then you will be totally intoxicated in this way of life and in this love. Then you really won't care about criticism and will find fulfilment. Once you stand on that ground, then no matter what the world says, you will have spiritual strength and power that nothing under the sun can resist or obstruct. When your love and faith are that real then life truly becomes intoxicating." [8]
In our effort to advance in heart we can do with some help.
Heung Jin Nim: "I am doing everything that I can for every one of you, from this side [spiritual world]. You have to ask for my help. I can't help if you don't ask." [9]
That applies to True Father and Jesus as well. We need to ask if we want to receive help.
Heung Jin Nim: "... a smart person, a responsible person, seeks the help that he/she needs..." [9]
