Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again some inspiration based on the words of True Family and Rev. Kamiyama:
True Father: "You should forget the shortcomings of others and evaluate the value of their good points.... Thus, you can be related with others in the position of goodness, and you can guide them to happiness. They will follow you and be closely associated with you." [1]
True Father: "If you see the good in others and cover their defects with your love, they will follow you. If you see only weaknesses in others, your spirituality will be ruined." [3]
It may be easy to criticize others and put them down, but the heavenly way is to cover others' defects with love and lift them up:
Heung Jin Nim: "I never antagonize others. I could probably fight with so many people because I can see evil in them. Instead, I take responsibility for them and love them." [2]
Our responsibility is to love people, no matter how many shortcomings or even evil they may have. If we just criticize their shortcomings, we will end up fighting all the time, we do not grow in love and we will not win those people's heart. And apart from that we are not helping them to improve but making it more difficult for them.
Ignoring the shortcomings of others and covering them by our love is what attracts God's blessings. True Father, by his love, not only covers others' shortcomings, but even their hurts, insults and attacks. That is the heavenly standard that most certainly God and True Parents want us to inherit:
Heung Jin Nim: "That's how my Father lives. He just loves everybody, even the people that hate him, even the people that attack him, even the people who hurt him. My Father just keeps loving them." [4]
Loving without end, no matter what the response may be: That is indeed the standard of God and True Parents. That is the heavenly standard:
Rev. Kamiyama: "I saw that Father practices love based on forgiveness in the midst of insults and contempt. Because the inmates don't know anything about Father's value, they say: „Hey, Moon!" or utter other kinds of insults that shouldn't even be forgiven. But Father puts himself in the position of servant of servants and forgives all this with love. I have witnessed this." [5]
True Father ignored all the insults and forgave those, who hated him, because of his divine love. That brought about the providential victory of Danbury. Wherever Father went, he achieved huge victories of love, that advanced the providence. Here True Father's simple secret:
True Father: "If you put yourself in the position of God or Jesus -- trusting persons while they betray you, loving persons when they don't deserve it, wanting to live and care for those persons while they are not qualified -- the world will change." [6]
The world will change! That is because of the great power of divine love.
Can only True Parents achieve such victories of love? Certainly not:
True Father: "True Parents' love here on earth is like a formula or tradition. Anybody who follows that formula or tradition is bound to succeed. Not only will you succeed here on earth, but you will also succeed in spirit world.... This kind of love will be welcomed anywhere, anytime, because this is the love of God." [7]
Everyone is supposed to use that same formula and achieve the same victories of love. Everyone is supposed to develop a divine heart in himself/herself. By doing this we inherit the love of God, which is the purpose of our life. Nothing is more important than this.
