Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again some inspiration based on the words of True Family and Jesus:
True Father: "Saying "I want to follow Father" does not mean going behind me. I said [asked you] to accept the mission and become a tribal messiah! That's the way to follow me! In other words, you will become a true parent. True Parents and God have already given you all the necessary ingredients and supplies. All you have to do is apply them in your life and win the battles. Then you will become the third greatest true parent." [1]
Father also makes clear who the first greatest and second greatest True Parents are:
True Father: "Who is God? God is the biggest parent -- that's all. True Parents are the second biggest parents. The third biggest parent is you! Messiahship means Parentship -- having true love between parents and children." [1]
True Parents are the second greatest True Parents, after God, because they pioneered the way. They are -- forever -- the first True Parents, the original True Parents. But still they tell us that we all can reach their level [of heart]:
True Father: "Already I have taught you everything. You can reach the same level as me." [2]
True Parents certainly do not want to be the only True Parents forever:
True Father: "Mother and I are not going to be the only True Parents. My goal is to make all of you true parents. It is the greatest honour that I can give to you." [3]
The parental heart of God and True Parents, however, is such that they wish that we become even better than them, in terms of love. That is simply the heart of parents. They wish that the third greatest True Parents, us, become even better than the first greatest and the second greatest True Parents, in terms of love, in terms of heart:
True Father: " If you truly love me and truly want to follow me then you must become better men and women in the sight of God than I am. That's my wish. That means you can inherit 100 percent of what I have received from God. My foundation, tradition and blessing can all become yours." [5]
Some may think that it is impossible f or us to reach perfection of heart. But that is what we are all created for. We all are created to become people in the full image of God, certainly nothing less. The Kingdom of God is the realm of exactly such people. And True Parents have opened this realm:
Heung Jin Nim: "As I already said, some have already given up the idea of perfection or ever building the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth concretely. I am telling you to change that concept and review your situation before God."[6]
We are all to reach perfection of heart and become True Parents ourselves:
Jesus: "You are being charged with something that nobody else has done. You must become True Parents. Yes, you must become True Parents. This is our Father's desire. Not that you follow him blindly as sheep, but that you take up his cross and you become True Parents... You can do what I could not even do. You can become True Parents." [7]
True Father: "My thinking is that the Unification Church is not there to take advantage of the Messiah, but to join him and take over his position for the sake of God and humanity. That is how I see your mission." [8]
And that means that all of us are challenged to perfect our heart and love so that we can love the people of the world as God and True Parents do:
True Father: "I look at people and even the whole world as my beloved." [9]
True Father: "Reverend Moon is one man who has been embracing everyone, including good people and evil people, trying to melt all their qualities with the true love of God. No one has thought in that fashion, let alone lived his entire life that way. Without a doubt, all mankind shall come under this one tradition. The True Father and Mother have committed their lives for the sake of their mission, for embracing the enemy world." [10]
This is the real legacy of True Parents. And they certainly want us to inherit this legacy of divine love, this legacy of divine heart. Then we become truly True Parents ourselves:
True Father: "As blessed couples, you are inheriting that tradition. You must receive it and uphold it, clean and pure. In order to inherit that tradition, you must become like the True Parents. You must live like them and embrace heaven and earth, the entire world and humanity. Then you can say, "Yes, Father, we inherited that tradition." [10]
This certainly is God's greatest desire. And this is the only way to establish God's Kingdom. And this requires that we focus on the development of our heart and love, no matter what else we are doing.
