Here again some inspiration, based on the words of True Family:
True Father [to newly matched couples]: "Those of you who were matched yesterday, do you feel you deserve that honor? There is only one thing we must accomplish, one thing we should have in our minds: to achieve human responsibility and enter the realm of the direct dominion of God. In other words, achieve true union with God and become the bearer of God's true love. You have no other or more important goal in life than this because in a way, you will be qualified to enter the Kingdom of Heaven." [1]
Human responsibility is to become the bearer of God's true love, to become able to love the way God does, to see people and situations through the eyes of divine love, through the eyes of God. That is more than only a responsibility, but it is the biggest blessing human beings could get from God. It puts us on the same level as God, with regards to love. It makes us true human beings, beings in the full image of God. Also marriage is exactly for this purpose, to make us into God-like people:
True Father: "Marriage is for the purpose of blending men and women into God-like figures, to put people into the image of God so that when they are elevated into spirit world they can enjoy a relationship with God together." [2]
The more we strive to advance in divine love, to become God-like people, the more happiness will be the result, not only in the spiritual world, but already during our life on earth:
True Father: "Therefore the true measure of your happiness is whether you are close to the central standard of true love. Happiness or unhappiness cannot be determined by how much money you have, but only by the purity with which you exercise true love." [3]
It all depends on the quality of love that we are living. That is what really matters. Then everything else falls into place, by the hands of God:
True Father: "God is God because He has both qualities – the ability to take responsibility for those who sinned against Him and the ability to be sympathetic with them, ready to forgive them. If you have the same quality as God has, you are in the position of God to other people and there is no problem at all. [4]
If we keep investing our heart and love into all people whom we encounter, forgiving them no matter how they treat us, being ready to keep investing unchangingly without expecting anything, then there is indeed no problem.
True Mother: "We should live a life of absolute true love. True love is a love by which we continuously live for others, investing in others and forgetting we have done so." [5]
Investing and forgetting is the way of divine love. And then giving again.
True Mother: "We must live a life of forgiveness... When you forgive the sins of others, amazing blessings are given to us from Heaven."[5]
Divine love also requires to forgive instead of retaliating. It requires to forgive, to forget and to keep loving, even if the person that has been forgiven, sins against us again. Then we need to forgive again, and keep loving.
True Parents hope that we become such people of divine love. Not only will we attract heavenly fortune that way, but also our descendants will be surrounded by God's blessing:
True Mother: "Please become sons and daughters that resemble True Parents and realize their hopes. This is the way to give blessings to our descendants in the future." [6]
Indeed, the victories of heart and love that we achieve in this life will surely effect our descendants in a very positive way. And also our ancestors will certainly benefit. And not only that. The providence of God will advance, based on our victories of heart and love. Because love is the strongest power:
True Father: "Once you come to know how great the power of true love is, you would go this way even if someone told you not to." [7]
By constantly striving to live a life of divine love towards everyone, we will soon discover the power of love in our own life. That makes us unstoppable people:
True Father: "With God's love as the core, you should become a person who maintains the law of love, whom no one can break or destroy, and you should become a substantial being of love by serving God. This is the highest ideal for man and for woman. This has been the hope of God since He created human beings and all things." [8]
By us making all effort to live a life of divine love, resembling God and True Parents, we are fulfilling the hope of God, of Jesus, of True Parents and of all mankind.
And we ourselves will never lose but always win:
True Father: " When you are living with this 100 percent commitment of true love, you don't have to worry or have ulcers. You can always have serenity and peace of mind, knowing that as you stay in the center, everything always comes back to you. You are the winner! "[3]
How do we stay in the "center"? By making effort to make God's unconditional and unchanging love visible to everyone. By expressing God's heart to everyone.
How much effort do we have to make?
True Father: " In the Bible it is written, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." As we now know the answer, we must love even if we have to clench our teeth." [9]
Certainly True Father speaks from his many profound life experiences.
