Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again some inspiration, based on the words of True Parents:
True Father: "Even our missionaries in the field may have a wrong concept. One of the major reasons that our foreign missions have not improved or really developed is because of this wrong concept and attitude – thinking that your people have to follow and respect you." [1]
It is easy to just demand from other people to "follow" us, to respect us, to serve us etc. We may even justify ourselves, thinking they have to follow and respect us because we are this or that, have this position or that, "have the truth" while they do not etc. etc. But this thinking is not correct:
True Father: "Many religious people incorrectly think they are always right and others are wrong and therefore have to follow them as Abel, but that is not the right way. First Abel has to take care of others, and only then can he/she expect them to follow." [1]
Simply pushing or pressurizing people to follow us and to respect us, because of this or that reason, does not win the heart of people but rather puts people off, and certainly does not make them our friends and supporters. Such behaviour does not make us attractive in the eyes of people, and thus it does not advance God's Kingdom. Such behaviour has nothing to do with true love. Rather it blocks our own growth of heart.
True Mother: "If you embrace all 7 billion people of the world, should you not be telling them what you know? You should show them what kind of person you are and tell them you became what you are because of True Parents, and encourage them to join you. That is what True Parents meant by starting a true love movement. It is about living for the sake of others. If you can help a person to begin a new life, that in itself is a success. You are giving hope to them..." [2]
True Parents want us to become people that others can easily respect, follow and love. For this to happen, we need to become people of deep love, deep heart and divine way of thinking. We have to become real magnets of love:
True Father: "Become a magnet, a mover of people's spirits; become a spiritual magnet drawing people with love. Maintain this condition or attitude, and then your prayer will become a reality." [3]
And more and more people will be drawn by us, through the quality of our love:
True Father: "If you are becoming the consummation of the love of God, then you are becoming a perfected man/woman, and those who come near you will melt in the spring atmosphere of that love. Then sadness, hardship and pain will melt away without reason." [4]
And where will we draw the people by our genuine divine love? First to ourselves, to our heart of love. And then the movement of true love, that True Mother mentioned above, will expand, and the whole world will be transformed into the world of divine love, the Kingdom of God.
