Anyonghaseyo, dear brothers and sisters!
Here again some inspiration, based on the words of True Parents:
True Mother: "We must live a life of forgiveness... When you forgive the sins of others, amazing blessings are given to us from Heaven." [1]
To forgive those that act against us is an important part of true love. It is not enough to say, "I forgive you." We also have to make sure that we do not keep resentments in our heart:
True Father: "No matter how difficult is may be, you should inherit our True Parents' TRADITION to be patient and OVERCOME WITH TRUE LOVE. You cannot harbor any hatred or grudge. There is NO WAY you can, because God and True Parents have not done that." [2]
Not only should we not have any resentment towards those that act against us, but we need to even try to be a blessing for them. Loving those that act against us is the best way to keep any resentments away from our heart:
True Mother: "My husband and I have forgiven the unforgivable and, for the sake of humanity, loved enemies unlovable... No matter how unjust the persecution we receive, we do not blame anyone, rather we love them. When we overcame ordeals in this manner, blessings that we could not even imagine took place." [1]
True Father: "Many members of established churches opposed and persecuted me all through my life. But I have never prayed for their misfortune or harsh judgement, even in my dreams. I have never tried to revenge myself. I only prayed for their salvation with unchanging love. We must give them our genuine love." [3]
Loving the enemy, forgiving the enemy, is the highest level of love. No wonder that it attracts blessings into our life. True Parents have lived their whole life like this, are still doing it and will never stop:
True Father: "Reverend Moon is one man who has been embracing everyone, including good people and evil people, trying to melt all their qualities with the true love of God. No one has thought in that fashion, let alone lived his entire life that way. Without a doubt, all mankind shall come under this one tradition. The True Father and True Mother have committed their lives for the sake of their mission, for embracing the enemy world." [4]
God and True Parents want us to live a life of such a level and quality of love. This, and only this, will bring about the Kingdom of God, the world of the heart, one family under God. Because such love is the most powerful force:
True Father: "The true dispensation cannot appear on earth unless an individual, family, tribe and nation can practice the principle of loving the enemy. Until such a nation appears you cannot talk about the Kingdom of God on earth." [5]
True Father: "All we have to do is to practice this principle [of loving the enemy]. We are not going to destroy our enemies but will liberate them." [5]
