Japanese businessman Hirokazu Ota, head pastor of the Unification Church of Rev. Sun Myung Moon in Paraguay, gives a news conference regarding his kidnapping and release along with three other people, at the Japanese embassy in Asuncion April 21, 2007.

Ota, who was kidnapped on April 1 along with his secretary and two bystanders, was freed along with the two kidnapped bystanders by their captors in Ciudad del Este, on the eastern border with Brazil early Saturday, after the Unification Church paid a ransom, police said. His secretary, Sawako Yamaguchi, was released April 10.
