Roland Platt
April 1, 2006
Dear Families:
May the blessing and love of God and True Parents be with your family, and our best wishes for the victorious year of 2006!
Thank you for your interest in the Special Task Force (STF). STF is a specialized youth leadership training program designed for Blessed Children aspiring to live for the greater good and become future leaders for God and humankind in various fields. This program is to nurture a public lifestyle in our Blessed Children, preparing their foundation to build successful Blessed Families and become true leaders for this world. We are looking for young people who are ready at this time in their lives for such a challenge. We welcome 2nd Generation of any age, however, applicants must be at least a high school graduate.
Please take note of the changes in the STF application process and new admission qualifications.
We as the STF staff seek to provide the best possible training for Blessed Children and are continuously improving the STF program. Over the years participants have come with a wide range of motivations, and all have been accepted. However, due to the nature of the training course not all could benefit from the program. Therefore, from this year, only applicants who meet the admission standards will be accepted into the program. Starting with the incoming class of 2006, 2nd Generation interested in applying to STF-USA are asked to participate in an evaluation process consisting of A) application materials and B) a one-day try-out. Details listed below.
These changes will be implemented in all STF programs in other countries. Furthermore, the standard of training and graduation from STF will be unified internationally.
We realize there will be 2 nd Generation who will not attend the STF program for various reasons. Therefore, 2nd Generation Educators from FFWPU and W-CARP are finding ways to provide all 2nd Generation with diverse educational opportunities that fit their circumstances and are suitable to train and encourage them to contribute to our movement and society in broader ways. This will guide every 2nd Generation to lead a public life, including the completion of the 2nd Generation 7-year course, and ultimately to establish Blessed Central Families that can preserve Heaven’s lineage and fulfill their Providential responsibility. These options are presently being developed and will be announced when they are ready.
