RE: General Information about July 26, 2004, Blessing in Korea

Here is the most up to date information that we have regarding the July 26th Blessing, to be held in Chonan, Korea (1 hour, 15 minutes south of Seoul, where Sun Moon University is located). Information might change. Remember to check for updates.

Arrivals:

All participants must arrive in Korea by July 24th at the latest. We hope you can come earlier to also support the World Culture and Sports Festival which opens on July 22. See http://www.ipsfestival.org/

Accommodations:

Participants will most likely be staying in similar accommodations to last year's ceremony. More information will be available from Korea soon. Last year participants stayed in "condo" style hotels with a kitchen and bathroom that were about a 20 minute bus ride from the Chonan indoor stadium.

Blessing Fee:

The Blessing fee for the US and other developed nations is $2,000 per candidate. We are investigating the possibility of some reduction, considering the other costs involved, but please plan for the established amount.

The fee covers the (1) Blessing donation, (2) accommodations in Korea (3) meals in Korea, (4) airport bus and transportation for events. The fee does not cover your Blessing ring, and it does not cover your air transportation to Korea.

Blessing Rings:

Each participant is responsible to obtain his or her own Blessing ring. "Temporary" Blessing Rings may be purchased in Korea for about $10 if you do not have time to get your real gold Blessing ring.

Participants should order their rings as soon as possible in order to allow the jewelers time to make them. We have identified 3 sources of Blessing rings that you can use.

Application Forms:

Each participant must submit an application form. Regional Directors must interview applicants and sign their application form.

Second Generation Couples: Forms are available under "HSA Blessing forms" on the website www.bccandidates.com

First Generation Couples: Forms are available under "HSA Blessing forms" on the website

Blessing alternatives in America:

At this time there are no scheduled alternative Blessings in America, such as via satellite. As we get closer to July 26th, plans could change.

We are hoping to hold a Blessing ceremony in America later this year, based upon approval from True Parents. We will announce any such plan soon.

Airline Transportation Arrangements:

All participants must be responsible to arrange their own transportation to Korea. We are investigating special prices and group rates and will let you know.
