The Words of the Williams Family |
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Our dear brother, Rev. Bruce G. Williams transitioned to spirit world shortly after 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 4th, 2010. His wife Rhonda and his 4 children; Hyangman (Joy), Seungman (Victor), Wonman (Joseph) and Jinman (Michael) were by his side when he passed on. Bruce had been battling complications from his kidney transplant and subsequent heart irregularities for the past year.
Rev. Williams joined the Unification Church in 1974 after answering an ad in the newspaper placed by Karen Katayama. He has been a wonderful servant to our Washington Church and community. Dr. Bo Hi Pak assigned him as first church Sexton here in 1977. He loved our Washington Church and had so many fond memories of those days along with working with ministers and teaching Divine Principle all around the country. He was blessed to Rhonda in 1982 as part of the 2075/8000 couples blessing at Madison Square Garden in New York. A full biography will be prepared.

Your help is needed to continue the traditional 24 hr prayer vigil until the Seunghwa Ceremony. Please contact Barbara Marks by email to participate in the vigil from your home or other location.
Washington area prayer and testimony meetings have been going on in Virginia and DC for the last few days for Bruce, with a lot of wonderful sharing. We will be meeting in Maryland on Wednesday the 10th and Thursday the 11th at the home of Bob and Angelika Selle, 6719 Willow Creek Road, Bowie, MD 20720. The time is from 7:30-10 pm. Please take time to meet together as a community, joining with Rhonda, to share stories of his life and noble character, and to pray for our beloved brother's transition. Bring photos if you have them, and a snack to share.
Let's continue to lift up Uncle/Rev. Bruce and his family, as he makes his ascension ahead of us.
God Bless You,
Rev. Francis, and our Local Pastors and BFD Care Ministry Leaders Team
