RE: Applications for the May 17 Blessing

We pray for God and True Parents' blessing and love to be with America and all nations as we create the sacred reign of peace in Cheon Il Guk, the realm of cosmic peace.

National Level Blessing

As previously announced that there will be a USA National Level Blessing in Washington, DC, according to True Parents direction. The date will be Saturday, May 17, 2008. Time will be 2:00pm. Participants should arrive at 9:00am for the program and rehearsals. All details will come soon.

This Blessing is being held for 1st generation members prepared to go through the process for the Changing of Blood Lineage. This includes: (1) those matched couples by Dr. Yang and Mrs. Erikawa who are ready to be Blessed, (2) those members from couples who were previously married when they joined the church and are ready to commit to all of the Blessing ceremonies mentioned below, (3) Ambassadors for Peace or ACLC clergy and their spouses who are prepared and committed for the Change of Blood Lineage.

All participants should have fully completed the course of Divine Principle education (minimum 7-Day content, preferably 21-Day content and True Parents Life Course).

Single participants must attend a National Blessing Workshop. Married participants should clearly understand the value of the Blessing and the Change of Blood Lineage course.

All participants should be committed to perform the ceremonies that fulfill the Blessing and Change of Blood Lineage to Heavenly Father’s Chung Il Guk lineage. This includes (1) Holy Wine Ceremony, (2) Blessing Ceremony, (3) Indemnity Stick Ceremony, (4) 40-Day Abstinence Condition. After the Blessing there are no conjugal relations until (5) the 3-Day Ceremony for Change of Blood Lineage.

Blessing Donation

All participants are expected to pay the Blessing Donation in full by May 12. Headquarters can no longer be responsible for allowing partial payments. Part of preparing a worthy spiritual foundation for your Blessing is the offering of the Blessing Donation. Members should not think of borrowing money from the church. This is “public money”. If they cannot pay in full, then consider other sources rather than borrowing from the church.

The traditional Blessing Donation established by True Parents for individuals in America is $2,000. For any Re-Blessing where the original donation was fulfilled, then the Re-Blessing Donation is $500. Please pay by May 12 for proper credit. (Bounced check fee is $15)

For couples who are already married and decide to be Blessed, the Blessing Donation is $2,000 total for the couple.

If anyone from past Blessings has not successfully fulfilled this offering, they should still have the attitude and faith that it is their spiritual responsibility to do so.

Reporting to your District Director’s Office

It is important that all candidates cooperate very closely with their District Blessing Coordinator. This will ensure that they receive all information and approval in a timely manner and that all their requirements and documentation are fulfilled. Each application must be signed by the District Director (or his designated representative).

Application Process for the Blessing

All those wishing to receive the Blessing must submit their contact information on the Internet at the following webpage: www.familyfed.org/bfd/events/blessing/20080517/applic.html.

Secondly, you must report to and receive the signature from your District Director on your Application Form to be able to attend the Blessing. District Blessing Coordinators will provide each couple with their valid credentials for the Blessing Ceremony.

The deadline for applications is Saturday, May 12, because of the facilities and necessary preparations.
