Dear Blessed Families,
We want to share with you several important pieces of information regarding the 2nd Generation Blessing in May. The Blessing is scheduled to take place in conjunction with the World Cultural and Sports Festival in Seoul, Korea. The ceremony itself will be on Sunday, May 25th. All matched couples should submit their complete applications (see below) to the Second Generation Office by Friday, May 2, 2003. All applications should be sent to Matthew Jones, 46 Beacon Street, Boston, MA 02108.
The applications must include a Blessing Application, an 8 x 10 head shot and body shot, a signed form from one’s regional director or STF Director that the candidate is qualified to attend the Blessing, a graduate certificate from a Blessing workshop, an AIDS test report and the Blessing Fee. (The application form and interview/confession form can be downloaded from http://www.bccandidates.com/). These applications will be collected and forwarded to Dr. Yang who will make an official report to True Parents for their final approval. Please don’t wait until you are matched to fulfill these requirements and send them in. These should ideally be done before the matching process begins.
The Second Generation Office will help make arrangements for room and board for the matched couples going to Korea. Details about this and the amount of the Blessing Fee will follow soon in a separate letter.
Matched Second Generation Couples Should Not Be Intimate
We want to clarify that even after a match is made, the matched couple should continue to treat each other strictly as brother and sister. They are restoring the position of Adam and Eve. To make this offering complete they should not engage in any forms of expressions of physical affection until after they are Blessed. The more strictly they adhere to this now, the prouder they will feel later. If you have questions about this or indemnity conditions for those that have gone too far, please contact Matthew Jones who will consult with Dr. Yang.
Interview and Confession Form
Along with this email, you will also find a revised interview and confession form. All Applicants should print this, fill it out and then bring it to the interview with the Regional Director. The confession form will be held in confidence by the Regional Director and only the Approval Form will accompany the final application.
God Bless Your Families!
