RE: 120 American Members to New York - All American Members – fundraising, signature campaign and - Israel Pilgrimage
Two years ago today the tragedy of 9/11 occurred. Our prayers go out to all the families and those who died in the last two years in conflicts related to this shocking event. Our prayer is for World Peace. It is widely understood that the root of these conflicts and their solutions are inextricably linked to the major religions of the world. True Parents are gaining worldwide recognition, providing critical leadership in this area. Through the Interreligious dialogue, and the Blessing, trust from Muslim, Christian and Jewish leaders has been deeply established.
Father has said that our prayer must now be fulfilled through action. Two initiatives are being launched to further the unity of the Abrahamic and world faiths to bring peace. The first is the mobilization of 120 members from Korea, Japan, America, England, France, Germany and Italy, to restore historical failures just after WWII. Father has emphasized the importance of sisters, especially American sisters, standing on the front line at this time. The second is the Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

Make checks payable to HSA UWC and send to 4 W. 43rd St. NY, NY 10036 c/o Rev. Eric Holt. Note on the Check "Gethsemane Stones / Holy Land Pilgrimage." All $1,000 donors will receive a Gethsemane Stone from the place where Jesus prayed. All members are asked to give a minimum of $100 for this effort.
WHAT DOES THE REST OF AMERICA DO AT THIS TIME?
1. Signature Campaign: (details will follow this memo)
We will do a nationwide signature campaign working with our Ambassadors for Peace to get resolutions, proclamations, endorsements from legislators, political leaders, mayors, religious leaders, organizations that will be used to show the grassroots support for the idea of an interreligious council and the unity of the Abrahamic faiths.
2. Adopt a Member in New York: Financial support.
840 members are each bringing $500 to New York. This will only cover about half of their costs there. Therefore all American members who do not come to New York should "adopt a member" by giving $500 for that member’s support. We will send you their picture and information so that you can do a prayer condition for them. Send your check to 4 W. 43rd St., NY, NY 10036, c/o Rev. Eric Holt. Note on the check "Adopt A Member – World Peace Initiative".
