Re: The Schedule of Summer Activities for Blessed Children in 2006
Dt: May 23, 2005
Dear Church Leaders and Youth Ministers,
Thank you for your hard work for God's providence.
Below you will find all of the information on the regional-level workshops that have been reported thus far to the Second Generation Department. We are still gathering more information; and we would like to ask all Second Generation educators to send workshop information to the Second Generation Department. Mr. Takamitsu Sakuwa is the contact person.
Furthermore, if you are not planning to have any workshops in your region in this summer, be sure to inform all Blessed Families of the workshops available to them, so they may send their children to a nearby region which will be having a summer workshop. We ask for your support and communication so we may provide inspirational and educational programs, centered on the vision of our True Parents and Hyun Jin Nim, for the young people of our Second Generation.
Attached you will also find a brief explanation of the national focus for Second Generation education in 2006, to be referred to in the development of your programs.
May God and True Parents Bless you, your family, and your mission!
Sincerely Yours,
Rev. Jin Soo Kim

2006 Second Generation Education Focus
1. Vertical Axial Line Education
God and human beings have a parent-child relationship. This relationship between God, True Parents, and True Family is the Fundamental relationship for the substantiation of True Love, True Life, True Lineage, and the 4 Great Realms of Heart and 3 Great Kingships. Blessed Central Families hold the position of stepchildren to True Parents; therefore, Blessed Central Families are in the position of younger brothers/sisters to the True Family. Blessed Central Families are connected to God through this familial relationship. This familial relationship gives us our identity as family members of God, True Parents, and True Family.
2. Alignment Education
Culture drives structure -- we need to focus on what kind of culture God, True Parents and True Family has. Their culture is the Culture of Heart, which is to live for the sake of others. We can say that the True Family culture includes their Vision, Mission, Goals, Core Values (Vertical Tradition, Living for the sake of others, Ownership, Teamwork, Dreaming big), Ideals and Norms, Attitudes, Practices, Languages, etc. As the extended family of God, True Parents, and True Family, we need to focus on inheriting their culture as sons and daughters.
There are two kinds of alignment: Cultural Alignment and Strategic Alignment.
Cultural alignment indicates that we have the same culture of God, True Parents, and True Family, which is the Culture of Heart. In order to own the culture of heart, we commit to embody their core values in our daily life.
Strategic alignment means that we have the same direction as God, True Parents, and True Family, which is their vision (creating an ideal family for God's Kingdom on earth and in heaven), mission (Unification of North and South Korea by 2012), and strategy (Raising leaders as True Abel).
3. Leadership Education
Our leadership comes from the familial relationship of God, True Parents, and True Family as Blessed Central families. Leadership comes from filial piety and the culture of Heart. We want to love Heavenly Father and True Parents as sons and daughters. We, as Blessed Central families, are in the position of Abel in relationship to society. The True Abel leader is the position of the elder son/daughter. The true leader is the one who inherits the tradition of True Parents. Leadership is built upon and driven by things that are not easy to acquire. We need to focus this education on embodying this true leadership position internally and externally toward our community and society.
Let us build a Leadership Pipeline from Jr. STF, STF, CARP, and until FFWPU.
