MEMORANDUM

The Ceremony for the Opening of the Original Palace on June 13, 2006 marked a new era in God's providence. As True Father said in his address, "If you truly understood the infinite value of this day, you would not be able to sit still. You would go throughout the world singing hymns of joy and dancing in ecstasy." This was the day that True Parents could be fully confirmed as the Cosmic King and Queen of Peace and, with the representatives of all nations and religions, they could declare the Kingdom of God in Heaven and on Earth as a substantial and eternal reality.

At Hoon Dok Hae on June 14, 2006 True Father initiated the first act of the Kingdom of Heaven. He asked all Regional Directors from North America as well as all Korean leaders assigned here to return to their homeland of Korea for new mission assignments. They are considered the most highly trained and prepared international leaders. Though it is a huge sacrifice for America, this change is seen as absolutely essential to bring peaceful unification of the Fatherland.

Our regional directors have served here in America shedding, their blood, sweat and tears to instill the heart and spirit of True Parents in the American movement. Father is taking this step because he trusts that the American members will now take full responsibility for the providence in America and see that this nation fulfills the Elder Son's role as a nation of the Peace Kingdom of Cheon Il Guk. America is responsible to lead the way in bringing peace and unity to all the nations of the world through strong and faithful blessed families.

So many tears have been shed together with our elders for the last 23 years as Father and Mother sacrificed their very best leaders from Korea to give everything in terms of True Parent's tradition, education, heart and spirit to America. The American movement is a movement based on tradition, heart and faith directly linked to our True Parents' thought and teaching. Therefore this tradition is our bedrock and now should be the basis for a great expansion and fulfillment of God's providence centering on America. Let us call upon the great saints and founding Fathers and Mothers of America in the spirit world and the saints and patriots on earth to manifest their gifts allowing a new re-founding of America in this new age of the establishment of Cheon Il Guk.

The formal transition ceremony for all leaders will be held on Sunday, July 2 during Sunday services across America. (It is possible to have the transition on July 9th if it is absolutely necessary). This should be seen as one of the most important transition ceremonies in the American providence, for it signals a new era of inheritance and responsibility for the American movement and also signifies the victorious completion of True Parents' providence centering on Regional Directors from Korea. The Transition ceremony will also include the official appointment of the Vice Regional Director as the "Acting" Regional Director.

There will be a three month trial period and then an anticipated reorganization of the American movement centering on the vision of our True Parents and carried out by our Continental Director and President. Dr. Chang Shik Yang will remain as the Continental Director of North America. Both the Continental Director and President ask that during this transition period there will be a six month grace period in which the current level of support for the outgoing Regional Director will be maintained until the end of 2006 as the ministry in Korea will also be a direct support to the growth and development of our church in America. The Continental Director will give more detailed guidance in the coming weeks.

True Father will honor each Regional Director by recommending that an honorary doctorate be bestowed upon them in a special ceremony to be held at Sun Moon University on June 20, 2006. This is an historic honor and confirms Father's pride in them and affirmation of the victorious completion of their responsibilities in America.

The Holy Items (including the Holy Wine Ceremony) should be given to all Blessed Central Families on Sunday, June 25 in each region and state. The Regional directors are bringing these items back with them.

Once again let us remain prayerful and serious to begin this 7-year course of America in this time after June 13th from 2006 to 2013.
