One Hundred Four participants attended the recently concluded UPF Peace Conference held at Regal Ballroom, Grand Regal Hotel, Bacolod City last October 29, 2011. The participants were heterogeneous -- composed of City Official, Towns Representatives, Pastors, Barangay Officials, Health Workers, Polices, Fire Marshalls, Lay Minister, Local Media Men, teachers, students, private individuals and relatives of our members.
The said conference was the fifth one conducted in the province of Negros Occidental and ninth in Western Visayas Region (first in Roxas City, second in Iloilo City, third in Tubungan, Iloilo, fourth San Jose Buenavista, Antique, fifth Cadiz City, sixth in Escalante City, seventh in Sagay City, eight in Himamaylan City) this year under the leadership of Mr. Sung Hwan Cainday.
The program started at 1:30 in the afternoon with the opening prayer by Pastor Jimmy M. Moises of True Life Ministries and followed by the National Anthem. Welcome remarks and peace message was given by Hon. El Cid M. Familiaran, City Councilor of Bacolod City. It was followed by the key note address of Dr. Chung Sik Yong delivered by Sir. Florineo F. Jerez, UPF Coordinator – Southern Negros Occidental. It was followed by the giving of Certificate of Appreciation and the Autobiography of the Founder to Hon. El Cid M. Familiaran and Pastor Jimmy Moises as gratitude from UPF organizers. It was followed by the introduction of the lecturer by the master of the ceremony, Ms. Charlene Joy Ormo.
The lecture entitled "The Principles of Peace" was presented by Dr. Roland P. Alcayaga, Secretary General of UPF Philippines. The lecture was done in English and Tagalog was very impressive and was clearly presented. The delegates were very attentive and showed their interest to the presentation which gave them a new level of understanding.
After the first lecture, a video introducing the Founder of the Universal Peace Federation, Dr. Sun Myung Moon, was shown.
After break, session 2 began. The second lecture entitled "The Cause of Human Conflict and Its Resolution were also presented by Dr. Alcayaga. The participants were very attentive and showed their interest to the presentation which gave them a new level of understanding particularly on the Root of Evil.
All the participants rated the conference very satisfactory and majority are willing to attend a follow-up seminar and applied for membership.
After the lecture, a toast for peace was done which signified unity between each participant of the conference and between the UPF. It was followed by the video presentation "Peace Loving Global Citizen".
The program was ended by a closing remark of Hon. El Cid M. Familiaran It was followed by the taking of commemorative photos.

It was the theme of the recently concluded 3-day Divine principle Seminar held at MMMTC last October 21-23, 2011. The said seminar was participated by seven participants from two provinces in the Western Visayas – Iloilo and Negross Occidental.
The seminar was led by the Iloilo Center under the leadership of Mr. Jimson Muega with supervision of the Regional Director in Western Visayas, Mr. Angelito Cainday.
The lecturer of the said seminar were Mr. Glenn P., Mr. Ramel P. Rangor and Mr. Dionisio Arcenas.
The event closed with the giving of certificate to participants. Two of the participants commit to become full time.
