The Words of the Hayakawa Family |
Dearest Family,
On December 25 our Japanese- Filipino blessed families in Niigata had our Christmas party and celebrated Noryuki's (Roselle's son) 4th birthday here at my place. We all had a wonderful time. The party started at around 12 noon and ended at 10:00 pm. Truly a Filipino spirit… walang paki sa time (never mind the time). Also, this year we prepared Filipino dish kaya Pinoy na Pinoy ang spirit.
Actually, in Niigata there are four families, unfortunately Jonis and her spouse who live 2 hours away couldn't join us due to the heavy snow in their area. And Papachantachi had to work so they could join us only in the evening. However, we were joined by Mori sensie, our dear elder brother. He's one of the leaders of Niigata church and has been taking care of the international blessed families. I've known him since the blessing in 1992. He speaks English so well so he was our (me and my husband) translator and mediator, so he knows our love story more than anyone else, lol. When I came to Japan he was the Youth and CARP leader. At the moment, he's the general secretary of the APTF (Association for the Promotion of the True Family) and the church social relation officer. We are so lucky here in Niigata to have such a person who takes care of us international blessed families, so we are always happy whenever he comes to our gathering.
I am glad that our Japanese-Filipino blessed families in Niigata are always united and could come together. Our children are so close to each other too, they treat each other as family and once they are together it's hard to separate them. So like those other occasions, on Saturday, the older children didn't separate until they spent one night together.
Have a blessed and wonderful God's Day and New Year everyone.
Best wishes,
Ethel
