The Words of the Lejeune Family |
Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
I have been thinking about the "power of True Love" lately. We talk about true love a lot, and since the OSDP has been revealed it has an even deeper meaning:
Shim Jung
The irrepressible emotional impulse of the heart that desires to feel joy through loving the object partner
This is the original energy that caused God to create humankind. Imagine, YOU are so loved that God really had no choice but create you. This is love that is unstoppable, eternal and unchanging. This means God will never leave us, no matter what we do. Actually, we leave Him when we choose to allow evil into our actions and thoughts. However, our DNA is from God, not Satan, so we always have the "irrepressible emotional impulse of the heart" to feel joy. Because we have never known how to find joy, humankind has been on an historical search of "who am I and why am I?"
If you are still searching for joy and wondering "who am I and why am I" then you need to take action. We know intellectually that joy is created through the giving and receiving of love with an object partner. This sounds so technical. Let's make it more real.
First, we cannot "find" joy, we "feel" joy. Joy is the result of action.
Everything starts with the individual, including joy. We cannot love someone else if we cannot love ourselves. Are you proud of who you are? Do you deserve to receive God's love? One powerful way Satan has succeeded in keeping us under his dominion is making us feel either inadequate and undeserving of love OR egotistical and demanding of love. In our weakest moments we all seem to fall into one of these categories. At those times we do not love ourselves as God loves us. Therefore, we cannot love others as God loves them.
We don't always recognize it as love; sometimes we don't feel deserving of praise or position OR we demand recognition and position. Either way, when we "fall" into these attitudes, Satan has succeeded in keeping us from giving and receiving God's love and fulfilling God's original intention for our creation; to "grow" in love, not "fall" in love.
So what are we to do? There are some very simple things we can do to get ourselves on the right track:
Study True Father's words (this is our Foundation of Faith)
It was the word that was lost in the beginning and this is why True Father challenges us to study Hoon Dok Hae every single day. The more we empower ourselves with God's word, the less power Satan has to derail us in our times of weakness.
Take action on the words (this is our Foundation of Substance)
Find your passion, your gifts, and bring them to life. It could be teaching the word, it could be caring for the youth; it could be comforting those in need. Whatever it is, do not let it remain dormant. Without action, studying the word of God will never bring joy or Shim Jung into our lives. The result is the first blessing is never fulfilled and thus the 2nd and 3rd blessing is never fulfilled.
Stand firm and fight when Satan tries to steer you away from your Heavenly Father with doubts and self-pity. With a strong Foundation of Faith and Foundation of Substance we can be consciously aware of where we are in relationship to God at all times. We cannot realign ourselves if we don't know we are off track.
Have fun and enjoy. Satan does not like it when we are happy because we are happiest when we are experiencing God's love and God is experiencing our love in return = Shim Jung
Pastor Judith Lejeune
"Without abiding in Your Shim Jung, how can we see the garden granted to us? Father! We have desired from the beginning and pursued the will to become those who can abide in Your heart, harmonize with Your Shim Jung, and live with You.
We sang about You when we first experienced Your Shim Jung. Yet along the way, many of us have been wounded in the heart. Please have sympathy with our plights. We have learned through the process of restoration that the initial determination we made before You must remain in the last garden of restoration. We know too well that the Israelites who did not fall in the wilderness were those whose ardent Shim Jung toward You was unchanging from the time of the departure from Egypt throughout the forty-year course. Those who had the Shim Jung of loyalty toward You received the blessing of the second Israel. At this time, guide us to question whether we are now able to obey Your commands after having pledged and determined before You."
Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and
courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about
it. Go out and get busy.

Action is a great restorer and builder of confidence. Inaction is
not only the result, but the cause, of fear. Perhaps the action you
take will be successful; perhaps different action or adjustments will
have to follow. But any action is better than no action at
all.
