The Words of the Masters Family |
More than 40 brothers and sisters, led by our National Leader, Simon Cooper, descended on Stanton Fitzwarren on Thursday 18th November to witness the dedication of the Memorial Woodland Burial site as our National Won Jeon.
President Song graciously performed the ceremony, cutting the tape that surrounded the one acre site with the help of several others armed with scissors. Pres. Song led singing and prayer and then generously sprinkled the perimeter of the site with Holy Salt.
The Dedication ceremony was followed by a Tree Planting ceremony when Pres. Song planted a Hawthorn tree. Others lined up to add their shovels full of soil.
Several Regional Leaders from neighboring regions were present, including Mike Moore of our South West Region.
After the ceremony we retired to the Village Hall where Pres. Song spoke to us and watched a film showing True Father planting the original Oak Tree at the Holy Ground in 1974.
We then concluded the occasion by enjoying an excellent meal prepared by Kayoko and Kumiko. We are grateful to Chris Frith and his helpers who spent two weekends fencing and generally preparing the site.
