What do the Moonies (considered a racial slur by Unificationists -- followers of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon) believe about relationships?
Each being created by God has the essential characteristics of Internal Nature (Yin) and External Form (Yang) and also Plus and Minus. Do these beings exist as individuals, separately and unrelated to one another -- or do they have a reciprocal relationship?
Even though each individual being may appear to exist independently of all others, all of the created universe originated from the Ideal of God, who Himself is a being of these harmonized dualities. So each created being does not exist independently, but, rather, is created to exist through interdependent reciprocal relationships.
The ideal relationship is established when a "subject partner" and an "object partner" have a strong giving and receiving relationship. This giving and receiving between subject partner and object partner is initiated by the Universal Prime Force (UPF), the original force from God, and is called "Give and Take Action." When when Give and Take Action takes place between two beings who line up in a harmonized subject and object relationship to become a higher being, all the forces necessary for its existence, reproduction, and action are generated.
Consider some examples. The human body lives through the Give and Take Action of the arteries and veins, and of inhalation and exhalation. An individual achieves his or her purpose of existence through the give and take action between his / her mind and Body. A family and a society exist through the give and take action between individuals and groups. Plants and animals maintain their functions through give and take among their various organs and systems. The Solar System has run smoothly for eons through the give and take action between the sun and the planets in their orbital movements.
Everything in the created universe, created by none other than God Himself, exists in harmonious relationships of give and take action initiated by the universal prime force.
