The Words of the Sedehi Family

Marriage is An Everyday Challenge for Unity

As we know in family pledge, True Father differentiates between absolute faith and absolute love.

A life course of faith is symbolic and the course of winning love is substantial. Course of faith is about overcoming our body's desire as we make an offering for a period of time, in order to develop our devotion vertically. Yet in the course of love (substance), its success is never defined by a time period; it is not an eventual victory but a perpetual unity of two historical enemies (i.e even though Jacob and Esau united at one time, they failed in the long run, and became two separate tribes).

So, once the age or course of settlement and substance starts (which is now) we must give unceasingly, even after we win our enemy's voluntary submission. Our enemy can be anybody, even our spouse or children, or tribe, nation, so on...

As an elder brother once told me, marriage is an everyday challenge for unity, not every other week or every 40 days!
