Help get Tossa Cromwell to sue the church

Tossa Cromwell is more "Abel" than those who try to solve their problems using courts and lawyers instead of altars and prayers.

Tossa has a slam dunk multi (mega) million dollar legal case against our church. Yes he is reluctant to talk about it, he is actually bound by a nondisclosure agreement that our church forced him to sign (carried out by our human resource department under the direction of 2 officers/board members of our church and all under the watch Rev. Yang) in order for him to receive a severance package. He agreed to let me share what I know about it so this kind of issue can be eliminated from the future of our church. So, whatever you want to describe this topic, political football, reform of our church/movement, this is not going away.

Let we warn you, if you have a weak faith you might want to put your rose colored glasses on.

You all know Tossa as a very sincere brother who has a special relationship with True Parents. He traveled with them as part of the outstanding translating services he provided. I met him in person for the first time at the OSDP lectures in Atlantic City. He was very good at his job (translating abstract concepts from Korean to English). He never was late, never missed a session, and never lost focus during the marathon translation job. From this view, his job performance was flawless. However, this is not all. He went well beyond the call of duty in multiple cases by helping members get their questions answered. What I observed was typical of his job performance. Everyone, in this hyper critical church we call home, had nothing bad to say about Tossa's fulfillment of his job description. Nobody. Yet he was fired. Yes, he was fired in a very brutally abusive fashion.

Why was Tossa Cromwell fired? His problems began when he reported to Rev. Chang Shik Yang that a BC had seen In Jin Nim openly displaying sexually suggestive affection to Ben Lorentzen. Rev. Yang immediately reported Tossa's revelation to In Jin Nim, so Tossa got to the top of (what I am calling) Heather's watch list. In a meeting at HQ (within a week), Heather [Thanheimer] initiated (what I am calling) Plan B (for Ben). This meeting disclosed harmful information about James Park, and initiated the discussion about the divorce. At that point Tossa had an "emotional outburst" decrying divorce as unprincipled as well as the unfair treatment of James. Heather took Tossa aside and said something along the lines of: Emotional outbursts like that are unacceptable in the workplace. You need counseling (psychological). If you want to continue working here, you need to go agree to counseling. Tossa, for very personal reasons, agreed to go to counseling. In very short order (I think it was that evening), Heather held a conference call to report Tossa's meltdown and the fact the he is going to counseling. So Tossa's credibility was brought into question. He was the source of disclosure of In Jin Nim's affair and needed to be "taken care of." The way Tossa was taken care of, is one for the history books.

Unfortunately, this nightmare does not end here. Tossa is a religious man. He does not value his life the way secular people do. I honestly do not feel that he considers a threat to his life as serious. Tossa is more concerned with his mission, his service to God and to True Parents. His connection to that mission was Rev Yang and his employment at HSA. So a threat to take away his mission was more harmful to him than a threat to take away his life. I was there! Anyway, they used this threat (to continue working at HSA) as a way to extort information from him. For example, he was required to disclose a list of all those he talked to about the sexually suggestive affection. He complied. He later was threatened to write a confession (character suicide) to everyone on his list. He complied. Unfortunately, his letter did not damn himself enough so he was asked for a revision. He refused, he was fired. To receive severance, as I said before, he was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

I spent hours trying to convince Tossa to sue the church for the sake of the church. But he would have no part of it. Someone who could be MY son, was treated like that yet sought to protect the church. He taught me a great the lesson.

Please sign my petition. If not, please start your own petition to encourage Tossa to sue as the principled course of action.

Tossa says that he wants no compensation and that he just wants to move on and not become anyone's political football.
