Tribal Activity of Michael and Ritsuko Alde in Malita: Fishers of Men
Prince Acosta
February 18, 2008
Davao-One of the farthest towns of Davao del Sur is Malita, and Gods’ providence is moving onward in there. This town is near a seashore and most of the families are fishermen and farmers. The blessed couple Mr. Michael and Ritsuko Alde (30,000 couple) who lived in there is keeping up in their promise to God and True Parents to be responsible in their respective hometown.
When Mr. Michael Alde brought students to the seminar last summer 2007, and after the seminar he continuously guide and support them spiritually through meeting them one by one and weekly Hoon Dok Hae meeting. The fruits of their labor are already showing this time. The student- core members organized by themselves an AIDS Awareness symposium in their school at R.T. Gloria Special High School in Fishing Village, Malita, Davao del Sur. There were 60 high school students who attended the said symposium and many of them were able to realize the importance of purity of relationship before marriage and fidelity after marriage.
Not only the students but the principal as well of the high school joined them. In addition, the school principal was very pleased of what Mr. Michael Alde has done to their students. Among the participating students were drop-outs that are now they are doing their best to study and finish their schooling and others who were good become more active and become student leaders. The result is already showing an impact to the community.
If this continues, many and more will be encouraged on how we guide these young people. Indeed, as True Parents said that if we will work at this time, result will immediately come out, since True Parents paid already the indemnity all we have to do is be responsible in our part.
Moreover, the next day the student core members of Malita gathered their parents to attend to our lectures on family values (Family Tree) and some basic Divine Principle lectures. Prince Acosta explained to them the ideas that we are teaching to their children and the parents become more inspired to send some of their children for the next seminars. Now they have little understanding why their children changed and always follow the examples of the family of Mr. Michael Alde.
The parents were encouraged to invite other parents to listen to the lectures for they also felt now the importance of what we teach and what can it help in the family relationship as well as in the community. That is why they will also be conducting a monthly gathering of parents and students every month in Malita. The gathering will be scheduled every 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month to have a continuous education for parents and encourage new students for higher seminars. If this continues for 5 years, substantial results can be felt in that area.
As a central blessed family Mr. Michael and Ritsuko Alde is doing their best in their hometown and also encouraged other home members to do the same for by this activity so that we can really see and feel that this nation can be restored back to God and True Parents' expectation.
We pray for the success to each tribal and home church leaders and each blessed family.
