Dear Filipino Sisters in Japan,
Last Saturday, March 01, our dear Kuya Mike (Dr. Michael G. Zablan) came to Tokyo to share about the GPF 2007 in the Philippines and leaders meeting in Korea. Actually we have already heard much about it from the internet and from brothers and sisters who were there. We were overwhelmed and inspired. But hearing the detailed report from the "main responsible person" is more than overwhelming, it's more than inspiring. It is MOVING!
It rekindled the spirit of the past when we were the ones who are running in the frontline, but then slowed down in Japan because of language barrier, change of mission focus -- we had to bear children and raise a family, etc. We are all in the same boat.
We all wanted to revive that spirit. We all know that we can do more in Japan beyond attending Sunday Service and completing our donation. After hearing Kuya Mike we all wanted to bring the GPF 2007 Philippine victory to Japan. And to support GPF 2008 Japan towards success. And return all these back to the Philippines for GPF 2008. Finally making Philippine and Japan as one.
And so with the conviction and desire coupled with determination, last Sunday March 2nd, after the IFA Sunday Service in HQ Shibuya - Filipinos gathered and formed a group that will initiate the move. As one of the pioneers in Japan, Ate Lala (Dra. Nora Magpantay Hasegawa) was unanimously appointed to lead the group. With a small gathering and short meeting time, a lot of ideas came out. One of which is to have a reunion on the 2nd Sunday of April to officially inaugurate the group and define its main mission, goals and functions.
An official letter will be sent as soon as the final details are confirmed. If you have some ideas please let us know. If you haven't sent your contact info to Ate Lala before, please do so. Or if you know somebody who can't be reached by email, please let us know their contact numbers. We would like to reach as many sisters as possible. Let us all join hands together making Japan and Philippines as one.
