The Words of the Alcamfor Family |
Dear TIMD Black Belts, Members, Brothers and Sisters,
Choong Hyo!
Our Tong-il Moo Do in Tokyo, Japan with the involvement of Filipino Black belts and members started in 2003 initiated by Master James Paranada and were assisted by Sister Gina Yago and Bro. Rico Santos. From then on, the providence of TIMD has been following the path of pioneers under the guidance of Master Takamitsu Hoshiko. Observers came and became practitioners; those are Filipinos, Japanese, Americans and other nationalities. However, from the year 2003 until 2008 our practitioners are not stable. They showed on and off.
As TIMD pioneers, we have lots of challenges and difficulties that resulted in our ups and downs. However, TIMD survived through the united efforts of those members who persevere, loyal and dedicated (even though some members experienced on and off due to health, jobs and other reasons) and likewise through the support of our black belt members who are living in Tokyo. TIMD then was recognized by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo and was involved in many activities such as demonstrations, seminars and community services.
Due to these, TIMD has become known by most Filipino community organizations in Tokyo. Through the support of Master Hoshiko, TIMD black belts in Tokyo and with our advisers from Phil. Embassy, we were able to surpass those difficulties and challenges and in the year 2008 we somehow brought a tremendous victory. Though we foresee that there could be more challenges ahead of us we are looking forward and we will work hard to multiply and grow bigger this year. How big it will be? Nobody knows…! One thing is sure that our adventure will continue in order to contribute in the providence of Japan and Philippines.
My dear brothers and sisters! We are very pleased to inform you, our TIMD in Tokyo will be having an Induction of newly elected Officers and will host the first TIMD Members Re-union in Japan on May 10, 2009, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 7th Floor Epoch Nakahara Building, Nakahara-ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa ken.
