Chun Hyo! Our Tong-Il Moo Do (TIMD) in Tokyo, Japan with the involvement of Filipino Black belts and members started in 2003 initiated by Master James Paranada and where assisted by Ms. Gina Yago and Mr. Rico Santos. From then on, the providence of TIMD has been following the path of pioneers under the guidance of Master Takamitsu Hoshiko. Observer came and become practitioners; those are Filipinos, Japanese, Americans and other nationalities.
TIMD then was recognized by the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo as Tong-Il Moo Do Philippine -- Japan (TIMDP-J) and was involve in many activities such as demonstrations, seminars and community services. Due to these, TIMDP-J has become known by most Filipino community organizations in Tokyo.
Last May 10, 2009, the TIMDP-J hosted the first "Family Reunion" of TIMD black belts and members in Japan. It was held in the 7th floor Epoch Nakahara Building, Nakahara -- Ku, Kawasaki City, Kanagawa Ken. The participants, are formerly TIMD or WonHwa DO (WHD) members from the Philippines who are now living in Japan and our Japanese TIMD members.
The morning session was done with the Opening Prayer by Mr. Dante Negre -- Adviser of United Filipinos for Peace and Advancement (UFPA), opening remarks given by Mr. Robert Alcamfor - TIMDP-J President, the inspirational message delivered by Master Takamitsu Hoshiko -- Executive Vice President and General Secretary of World Tong-Il Moo Do Martial Arts Federation and the moving testimony from our founding members of TIMD-J, elder black belt members who are staying in different places of Japan and our new members.
This family reunion was also highlighted with the "Ceremony of Roses" for all mothers who are present on this event as a "Mother's Day Celebration". Every mother receives a one flower of rose from their husband, and those mothers whose husbands are not around were represented by Master Takamitsu Hoshiko. It is the Ceremony of Recognition of their unselfish love in the family. Everything finish smoothly with free lunch, where everybody enjoy a lot of menu and delicious foods while watching the video of TIMDP-J activities last year 2008.
In the afternoon, "Induction of the officers for the year 2009", started from 1:30 pm -- 4:30 pm. Master Takamitsu Hoshiko grace the occasion as a guest speaker, as well as,the opening remarks was given by Mr. Reuben G. Cruz - President of Filipino Japanese Blessed Family Association, as goes by, inspirational message of Atty. Danilo P. Cruz, Labor Attach of Philippine Embassy was read by our Welfare Officer of Philippine Embassy, Tokyo -- Ms. Ma. Luz L. Tolentino.
The TIMDP -- J Officers for the year 2009 was inducted by Mr. Danilo M. Lim, Manager of Philippine Airline -- Tokyo. Congratulation! To the new officers of TIMDP -- J; Mr. Robert Alcamfor -- President, Mr. Arnold C. Heramis -- Vice President of Internal Affair, Ms. Francisca de la Cruz Vice President of External Affair, Ms. Mary Fernandez -- Secretary, Mr. Alexander bagiou -- Assistant Secretary, Ms. Joy Juralbal -- Treasurer, Ms. Jessica Tagayum -- Assistant Treasurer, Ms. Vergie Niegos -- Auditor, Mr. Nicolas Santiago, Ms. Arlene Maravilla, Ms. Chenei Delfin -- Press Relation Officers (PRO).

The event was highlighted by the entertainment of the two solo song rendered by Ms. Glenda Tabata, a Tagalog song dedicated to all Mothers on the Mother's day, and the Japanese Song rendered by Ms. Yukari Negre.
Additionally, the applauding Martial Art ballet of Tong-Il Moo Do, "The Harmonious Youth", "Form of Creation", and "Form of Peace" presented by the TIMD-J members.
Furthermore, the energetic intermission number of Ms. Marie "Mayang" Nehei in her Solo dance, where everyone motivated to dance.
The event was finished with a lot of consolation prizes and 3 major prizes from the BINGO Game Special as a fundraising campaign of the organization. The whole day program and activities is the great memorable and inspiration to all of us, especially to our new members.
