Mr. Richell L. Jalipa and Mrs. Apsara Dulal-Jalipa lead the opening of the first Marikina Unification Movement or UM Center last March 25, 2010. It is located at 35 JP Laurel St., Mountain View Subd., San Roque, Marikina City, near the Marikina Sports Complex. The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of the National Leader of UM Philippines, no other than Bro. Rolando Jun Basuil who also officiated the blessing of the 2-storey rented UM Center.
The Marikina UM Center is one of the first centers to open among the projected- goal of 120-pioneering centers of UM Philippines for this year enhancing the renewed UM Witnessing Program as directed by the Continental Director of UM Asia, Dr. Yong.
In the opening ceremony, Mr. Jalipa addressed his audience and guests briefly with a deep commitment to God and the True Parents. He said, "Dear Blessed Families, as the leader of UM-Marikina City, I welcome everyone to our Marikina Center for Peace and Unification. This center is dedicated to God and True Parents' work for building Cheon Il Guk.
We are determined to bring this city under God and True Parents in the shortest possible time. May the True Love of God and True Parents guide us in everything we do. We pledge to carry out God's work of salvation in our area until God and True Parents' Heart are liberated." Marikina Center now has a few staff members namely: Bro. Francis Angelo Driz, Sis. Jobelle E. Garcia, Sister Eden Capuno, Bro. Mandy Valenzuella. There are four new trainee-fulltime staff too namely: Joyce Garcia, Maureen Valenzuela, Luigi Garcia, Erica Lara.
