Medical, Dental and Surgical Mission held in the Philippines

A free medical, dental and surgical services were rendered by the Medical Forum of Ambassadors for Peace and AMMS Philippines under the banner of Universal Peace Federation in 6 different places in the Philippines last May 31 to June 2, 2008.

On May 31, there were 3 venues around the City of Manila. The recipients were Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center (GABMMC), where surgical operations on Cataract removal and Harelip Operation were held. Other venues were done in Baseco and Parola Area where squatters in Manila stayed. The 2nd Day, June 1, 2008, Volunteers were divided into another 3 teams, Trece Martires City, Antipolo City and Brgy Tatalon, Quezon City.

June 3, A Symposium was held at Manila Hotel with the theme: “The Role of Medical Professionals in Global Peace Building.” Another Ambassadors for Peace members were also installed.

There were Courtesy Calls also from the Office of the Senate President, Hon. Manny Villar; Office of the City of Manila, Hon. Alfredo Lim; Office of the Secretary of Dept. of Health, Dr. Eduardo Duque and Office of the Philippine Medical Association.
