The Words of the Clemente Family |
I started my work by making rounds and introduced myself to my patients this morning when one of them recognized me as Filipina and was so eager to tell me about his new bride who just arrived 9 days ago in the US. I told him how much she must be having culture shock and being lonely as I have experienced that when I was new in this country. This patient was so excited to give me the phone to his wife and I spoke to her and gave her my phone number, I told her to call me if she needs help. I told this patient about the significance of International marriage to peace, I told him how I was matched and married by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, I also spoke to him about True Parents' idea about International marriage and wish this patient success in his marriage.
To my surprised, another patient was listening to our conversation. This patient told me that he never heard anything good about Rev. Moon and was aware of those International matching done at Madison Square Garden, which he heard was forced to the members. He was appreciative to hear something good about Rev. Moon as the media portrays him as a monster.
He was very impressed how I offered my help to this patient's wife and surprised to know about Rev. Moon's idea of International marriage to make peace. I spoke to this patient about how I was matched and married to an African, and how I was able to break through the barrier of race and culture because of this marriage and the teachings of Rev. Moon.
I told this patient that I have an Autobiography book of Rev. Moon and if he is willing to read it I can give it to him. This patient agreed to read it so I gave it to him. He was so impressed just by reading the few chapters of the book. I can see how his idea of who True Parents has changed and showed appreciation of True Parents works.
I realized more the importance of why True Parents want us to give out his autobiography book. This book will really make people KNOW WHO our beloved True Parents are, and that time is NOW!
