The Words of the Dibdib Family |
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings!
After the 5 Days Training (Cheon Song) with Dr. Chung Sik Yong in Tanay and right after our Visayas meeting last September 5 and 6 in Cebu, I have decided to extend to you all our recent advancements and the making of the Global Peace Festival-Dumaguete, Visayas. (See attached: The Making of GPF-Negros-Visayas)
For the past months and years, Negros Orientals’ providence had really surged higher into a certain degree that it gained recognition in both our movement leaders and memberships as well as leaders in the provincial and local government, and even from the academe and the whole of the society. Honestly, our provincial governor and vice governor, Dr. Henry Sojor, and many other provincial officials, educators, youth leaders, and many others from different sectors recognizes the success of our activities through the build-up for the making of GPF with our partners such as W-CARP, TLP, YFWP, and UPF.
We even had an easy access communicating them through cell phone in which these leaders don’t just give their number to simply ordinary citizen, if they gave anyway, I heard that they don’t just simply entertain unless through their secretary. So we really had expanded well and even enjoying supports from these leaders. Our forces are present in major areas of Negros such as Guihulngan City, Tanjay City, Siaton, Bayawan City, Bacong and Dumaguete City.
Brothers and Sisters, Kuya Jun Basuil and I are working together to establish “One Visayas” during our meeting, though it was opposed at first by leaders from other regions but, we both strongly imposed such a plan and we succeeded. So we have now established a strong and focused witnessing team to accomplish the goal of 12,000 OWNERS OF THE PROVIDENCE until September 2009. We already had formed a mobile witnessing team composed of 14 members under the leadership of Mr. Alex Mibato. They are to go around Visayas to witness and raise-up core members. Negros Oriental pledges to offer 4 members, Cebu 4, Iloilo 2, Bohol 1, and Samar-Leyte 3. I know we can offer more because our present fulltime members are more than 20 excluding 18 students staying in the center but we have also our Global Peace Festival on October, so we have to send only four members.
Our GPF-Central Visayas was originally to be done in Cebu but due to what Kuya Jun said, lack of foundation in government support, the ongoing construction of Cebu Center that Kuya Jun asked me to hold GPF-Central Visayas in Dumaguete instead.
When I accepted the challenge to hold that event in Negros Oriental I already believed with your support that we are ready for this provincial level Global Peace Festival. So we started our build-up activities and let leaders from different sectors get involved in every activities of different kind that we have accomplished. Our UPF-Global Peace Festival is already being recognize as part of the 10 days long Buglasan Festival. Our GPF is scheduled on October 22, 2008 along with other activities within that 10 days long festival.
In line with the preparation and more of the making or build-up activities, we are scheduled to hold a 2-Day Leadership Conference on September 27-28, 2008 at Check-Inn Pension, Dumaguete City drawing leaders from the barangays, SK Chairman and councilors, principals, business sectors and religious sectors and many others. The clean-up drive that is to be done a week before the Global Peace Festival is on planning with the partnership of the city government.
In every activity we need to accomplish, a certain amount is to be allocated to bring it to success. So we are encouraging you all brothers and sisters to please extend some support for this very important event in our Visayas particularly in Negros Oriental.
If I am not wrong we have the same faith and aspiration that 2008 is a very critical time in our history of restoration with our True Parents and we have to go four years more to substantially arrived with our long time dream of Cheon Il Guk. In any ways you can support we are very grateful for it.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Pedro R. Dibdib
Provincial Director
