Seung Hwa Information for Barret Dungan

April 2, 2008
Dear Family,
Thank you for your prayers to comfort True Parents and True Family, as well as the families of Neil Shuckerow (four days after Hyo Jin Nim) and for those of you who may know, the family of the longtime President of the Brazilian Church (who passed from cancer the day before Hyo Jin Nim) (I'm sorry, I just heard last night, I don't have his name exactly - his first name is Elias). Now we have the news of the passing of Barret Dungan, the 20 year old son of Bret and Linda Dungan of Bayou La Batre.
I just received this news about his Seung Hwa from Rev. Tom Cutts of the Atlanta-Miami District.
God bless you all,
Rev. Mark Hernandez
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Seung Hwa Service for Barret Dungan, the son of Brett and Linda Dungan, will be held at the Alabama Family Church at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th. The Church is located at 10965 Hogue Road West, Irvington, AL 36544
The evening before, Thursday, April 3rd, there will be a gathering for friends and family at the Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Serenity Funeral Home is located at 8691 Old Pascagoula Road, Theodore, AL 36582
Condolences may be sent to Brett and Linda Dungan. A memorial fund has been established, and if people would like to send money in lieu of flowers it may sent to the Barret Dungan Memorial Fund at Regions Bank.
On Monday, March 31, Barret died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Alabama. Barret was 20 years old and the Dungan's only son. He is survived by mother and father and three sisters, Brinda, Bonita and Becky Barret and was home for the weekend from university and had just had lunch with his mother at the school where she teaches when this tragic accident happened. That same day, two other people died in motorcycle accidents in the same county.
Brett is the President of one of the companies associated with our movement and has done educational work for family values as the Alabama AFC Director. I had just spent Friday and Saturday night with the Dungans. I gave the sermon at the Alabama church on Sunday, and drove back to Atlanta Sunday night. My son, Brian, will help me drive back to Bayou la Batre this Thursday.
Rev. Richard Sapp, our District UPF Secretary General, will drive over from Jacksonville, Florida for the services. He had lost his son, John, last year. I understand that Howard Self, from Headquarters, might also be coming to the services.
Thank you for your prayers and support,
Sincerely,
Tom Cutts
