This year's annual Holy Wedding Anniversary Fishing Tournament and Peace King Cup was held at Croton Bay, Father's traditional fishing area at the Hudson River, on May 7, 2011.

82 participants registered for the occasion, 32 being STF youth from around the country. There were 12 boats in the competition; three 16' boats, a 24' boat, seven 28' boats, and Father's 34' boat. Eleven of the boats were designed by True World Marine.

Most of the boats started at South Croton Point in the morning and then moved to other areas from Tappan Zee Bridge to the upper part of Croton Bay. Although fish were showing on the fishfinder, they were not biting that day. We used bloodworms and bunker for bait. The weather was beautiful and sunny, with almost no wind. The water was very calm. It was a big contrast to last year's 50 mph winds and lightning. Everyone had a good experience on the water to follow Father's fishing tradition.

At the end of the day, only one fish was entered for a prize, a 28" striped bass caught at around 9:00 am on the high tide at South Croton Point. Rev. Ki Yeal Lee, national KEA leader, caught the 28" fish which won first prize. Unfortunately, no other fish were caught that day.

On Sunday, May 8th, we had the awards ceremony right after Lovin' Life Worship service at the Manhattan Center. Our Senior Pastor, Rev. In Jin Moon, presented a medal, trophy and prize money to Rev. Lee. Thanks to In Jin Nim, Headquarters' staff, and Mr. Takahashi and Ocean Church staff we had a well organized and safe tournament and will continue New York area fishing this spring!
