Dear brothers and sisters throughout America,
True Parents announced the unification of the lunar calendar and the solar calendar. They are scheduled to celebrate the 43rd True God's Day on Feb 14, the Cosmic Blessing on Feb 17, the True Parents Birthday and the Coronation Ceremony for God's Kingship on Feb 19, and the Entrance Ceremony for the Growth Stage Cheon Bok Gong on Feb 21. The Special Grace and Forgiveness through the Oct 14 and Feb 17 Blessing was also announced. (refer to the official document dated Jan 27) Now True Parents bless the beginning of the totally new era.
In order to start at the totally new level, it is important for us to understand clearly the meaning of the New Year Motto, about the heart of True Parents while they were conducting the New Year events, and about the relationship between True Children and us.
10.14 True Parents' Cosmic Blessing is the greatest grace of all, through which the Blessed Families are recognized as the original human beings before the fall, and are allowed to enter the "city of refuge" (Numbers chapter 35). The term, "city of refuge" itself explains that we entered into the era in which Satan cannot claim us. Those Blessed Families who will enter the city of refuge must establish the content of the Blessing. What is that content? This year's motto which was given following the 2009 motto teaches what is the most fundamental and most basic life content as the Blessed Family.
2009 motto was "The Era of Proclaiming the Victory of the Authority of Absolute Sexual Ethics, True Love, True Life, and True Lineage in the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath of the Parents of Heaven and Earth". 2010 motto is "Mansei for oneness with True Parents' Pure Heart and with all their Victories in the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath centered on True Love" This motto is understood as, "In the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath filled with True Love, let us accomplish Total Victory with Pure Heart and say Mansei!"
"Parents of Heaven and Earth" is changed to "True Love" and "the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath" stays the same.
Then, what is the meaning of "the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath centered on True Love"? True Love here means the love of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, which is the oneness of God's love and True Parents' love. Thus, it means, therefore, in the huge house of the Cosmos that is filled with love of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Human, which is the love of God and True Parents, the realm of the Sabbath expands. As True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind rest by True Love through vertical 8 stages and horizontal 8 stages – 64 stages, pure water ("Cheong Shim") will come out. The pure heart naturally originates and flows from the love of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.
The second point is that "Absolute Sex, Victory of the Realm of True Love, True Life and True Lineage" of 2009 motto was changed to "Cheong Shim Il, Man Seong Il (Pure heart and total victory)" in 2010 motto. True Parents once gave this calligraphy of "Cheong Shim Il, Man Seong Il" (Dec. 2, 1996)
What is the meaning of "Cheong Shim (pure heart)"? "Cheong Shim" means beautiful and pure heart like morning dew which has no dust. Father said, "Cheong Shim" is connected with the element of life and thus the dew begins to form itself. (Jan 2, 2010) Chinese character "Cheong" of "Cheong Shim" consists of "water" on its left side, and "lord" on its top, with "moon" supporting from the bottom.
"Cheong Shim" is the conscience (Yang Shim / Seng Shim) which is God's mind and which God had given to Adam and Eve before they had fallen. (May 13, 2004) "Cheong Shim" sometimes also means my vertical self which is connected to God through the lineage. (Feb. 1, 1998) "Cheong Shim" does not have selfish or self-centered desire, and is a mind pure as crystal which can bring the first step in bringing the reconciliation and unity between Cain and Abel. It also would provide the original starting point of the reconciliation and unity between man and woman. (May 13, 2004) "Cheong Shim" is a well-rounded mind which will bring peace. (Jan 2, 2010)
"Man Seong Il" means to bring victory 10,000 times, which actually means the total victory. The way of "Man Seong" is not to fight and win. It is to win through "Cheong Shim" and through the harmony and the unity. "Man Seong" which appears in the 2010 Motto emphasizes that we need to bring victory in everything by having "Cheong Shim". It means you go beyond the concept of evil by the concept of goodness, and bring total victory over everything by "Cheong Shim".
Third, "Seongpo (means 'proclamation')" in 2009 Motto is switched with "Mansei"
We are the representative of the True Parents who succeeded in the victorious full powers of the whole, overall, all-powerful, and almighty. (Oct 15, 2009) The representative of the True Parents must resemble True Parents. They must do the True Parents' work. They must think the way True Parents rejoice, and they must speak only the words that True Parents would love. They must do only the work that would please True Parents. This was expressed in this year's motto as "Cheong Shim Il, Man Seong Il".
The secret of the success of True Parents is very simple. True Parents know God more than anybody. They know what is the way to make God happy. Therefore, they choose to speak only the words in that God would rejoice. Therefore, even though they don't ask God, "Please help me!" God would help them because He feels He wants to help. According to True Parents that was the reason for their success. (Mar. 14, 1997) Do you want "Man Seong (total victory)"? Then, please begin with "Cheong Shim" Then, God and True Parents will be with you.
I edit True Father's True God's Day message every year. This True God's Day, however, Father spoke each word filled with such sorrow that I had never experienced in the past True God's Days. Father often shed so much tears while intensely speaking about God's anguish, in such an occasion as when he pleaded for the Unification of North and South Korea at True God's Day 1988. However, those tears were the tears of determination and encouragement, as well as the tears to comfort God, and the tears to express God's anguish. This year, however, I saw Father trying to force his tears back, while biting his lips to endure his unfathomed deep sorrow. I couldn't stand still watching Father being that way in the beginning of this year.
True Father found the truth that "my life, and our life, everything began from God." In his young age Father said, only such people will remain forever. However, Father says, "that has become my enemy." What a situation, what a painful heart if he had to speak like that! He could not do anything as he likes because he had to live publicly as a God's representative, which he had to describe as "The King of beggars." And he asked us why we had come to see such a person. But he said nothing can exist without God, and God's homeland cannot be any other nation other than Korea which started off with God.
When Shin Jun Nim came and said to Father, "Please finish speaking and eat.", then he apologized to his small grandson and whispered to him, "Please forgive me for a few more minutes. If you still say stop, then I will stop." As he asked his grandson to understand him, he said, "I am attending my grandson as God's representative."
I couldn't help feeling that now is the time that we as his children should truly understand the heart and the situation of True Parents so that we would be able to say to them that we will accomplish (God's will) for them, and when I think about truly doing it, I couldn't help feeling that the time is already running out. However, when we celebrated the Day of Victory of Love, True Children in the spirit world who were gathered at the altar already knew this, and thus they walked the course of the representative (of True Parents). Therefore, I was determined to truly become one with True Children on earth, who are also already walking such a course.
True Parents spoke about the relationship between Cain children (us) and Abel children (True Children) in terms of the most fundamental issue of the spiritual and physical rebirth centered on True Parents.
i) True Father explains in The Spiritual Rebirth through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, "In Christianity, the Holy Father (Father God) is God and the Holy Son is Jesus. Then, what is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is the Mother God. You cannot be reborn unless you receive the Holy Spirit which is the Mother God. The Holy Spirit who is the Mother God must give birth. This Holy Spirit longs for Jesus. How much does she long for Jesus? She longs to see Jesus like crazy. You did not have such experience, did you? The longing heart of the Holy Spirit, Mother God toward the bride, husband God must be reflected in the human body. You must be reborn by having that kind of heart. There is no birth possible without going through the love of the parents. This is the Heavenly Principle."
ii) True Father says in The Rebirth through True Parents and True Children, "...it is the same in the Unification Church today. You all must absolutely fall in love with Father. All men and women should shed tears longing to see Father. You must have a longing heart and love for Father more than for your wife, or husband, and more than for your own children. Unless you have such heart welling up, you cannot be connected to God." (p714)
"Through whom do you think you can establish the condition of having been born? Father alone is not enough. You need to go through the True Children. No matter how important Father is, you still must go through not only Father alone, but also Parents and their Children. True Parents will have True Sons and True Daughters. Then, with whom should sisters unite? Sisters should unite with True Parents and True Daughters. Brothers should unite with True Parents and True Sons. Because woman fell first, restoration of woman has to be done first, and then the restoration of man will follow."(p718)
"You cannot go into True Mother's womb. Therefore, what you need to do is that you must become one with True Children. You must be in the position of a fetus in the womb through this 3 years period." (p719)
True Parents first loved Cain children (us), while sacrificing their own children (Abel children). True Parents expected that eventually Cain children would protect and raise True Children on behalf of True Parents, and would help True Children to become one with True Parents.
However, this didn't happen as expected. True Father said, "That has been my life. My life has been that way up until now. I live according to the Principle. I do not directly take care of my children. Even though they live in East Garden, it is not I that teach them every day. Who should educate Adam? The Archangel should do it. It is not God who will do it. Who should educate Father's children? The 36 couples should do it. However, Unification Church does not have the foundation to build the attitude of traditional educational." (Total Indemnity, God's Will and the World. P894)
Not only that, True Children carried all kinds of our sin, Cain children's sin -- faithlessness, failure to fulfill their responsibilities. True Children had to go through the course of the cross.
Now we, as the Cain children, should deeply repent that we have been just receiving True Parents' deep love again and again without knowing the painful heart of True Parents, and without knowing what kind of difficult course True Children have had to go through as they carried the heavy cross of the heart.
January 23, at the American Leadership Conference, In Jin Nim spoke with deep heart about how patiently True Parents have been waiting for the Cain children to grow and to become victorious. She also spoke about how much she has been patient for Cain children. She said that she wanted us to understand how Cain children should attend True Children, and expressed her desire for us to do it. Then she said, "If you do so, then I will love your children (second generation) at the sacrifice of my own Abel children, just as True Parents have done."
Thus, she showed us clearly that if more American brothers and sisters become the object of heart to In Jin Nim who is standing as the representative of the True Children, and achieve oneness in heart with her, and work together with sweat and tears, then not only our past debt will be cleansed, but also the way for the victory of today and tomorrow will be opened. And she also showed us if we Cain children unite with True Children, we will receive great Heavenly Fortune, and True Parents' dream for America will come true.
Let us become one with True Parents and bring victory in all the activities we do!
As we entered the year 2010, let us think what we have to do. True Parents gave us the motto, "Cheong Shim Il, Man Seong Il", which means that if you become pure in heart and one in heart, then you will form the Realm of the Sabbath, and you will bring victory in everything. The relationship between True Parents and us is the relationship between parent and child. True Father takes the year 2013 very seriously. It is not acceptable for us to see the day January 13, 2013 with no result due to our having wasted our time by not thinking seriously.
God's Providence keeps moving forward. We must not become a spectator of the Providence. We must accomplish God's Will which True Parents are striving to accomplish, and reach the year 2013. You must think, "I must become a person who witnesses every day throughout the year by inheriting great Heavenly fortune."
Now God prepared the environment in which we can do anything. Once we have made up our mind clearly, thinking, "I must witness. I must witness one person every month.", and make effort accordingly, then God will absolutely work. Absolute Spirits also will be happy to help you, saying, "Oh, my descendants are working so hard for witnessing."
The way the Blessed Families can live happily is the way of witnessing. When the spiritual parent and the spiritual child become one in heart and shared the same will, then there is nothing they cannot accomplish. Even from tomorrow, you must be able to stand on the very frontline of witnessing.
To expand the autobiography work worldwide, I have now declared that awards will be given to those who have achieved success. Focusing on the Korean residents living in more than a hundred and twenty countries, the blessed families need to devote their lives, their wealth and all of their loyalty, and fulfill the responsibility of successfully distributing the book in four hundred and thirty places, in the homes of each and every family in the world.
So, you have resolved to distribute the book in four hundred and thirty places, to give the book to your tribes as the tribal and clan messiahs and nurture them to become blessed members who can bring their clans in front of the nations of the world...
You need to know that with my prayer, we have already concluded the declaration and proclamation by which we resolved to fulfill our work of distributing this book to our clans guiding and supervising them as their tribal messiahs, and helping them to become registered in the heavenly kingdom, all by D-Day, January 13, 2013.
Since the world's 6.5 billion people are all in one big family, based on the family and in your district, you distribute the four hundred and thirty books focusing on the blessing. I have dedicated my life to fulfill that work and God has also been striving for tens of thousands of years. Now our work is finally coming to fruition; that is why you can work in this mirage-like age without suffering hardships...
Only those who have succeeded in giving the book to families reaching this number will be rewarded. That will be a gift of money rather than a prize -- to encourage you to fulfill your responsibility of registering their tribes in front of Heaven. So you will need to distribute this book night and day, twenty-four hours a day.
It is thus necessary to absolutely believe and practice True Parents' words. To this end, the most important thing is to offer Jeong Seong. Let us take our first step!
As we begin our February Jeong Seong Condition, I pray that many brothers and sisters will join together.

30: If any one kills a person, the murderer shall be put to death on the evidence of witnesses; but no person shall be put to death on the testimony of one witness.

8: But, since we belong to the day, let us be sober, and put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
9: For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
10: who died for us so that whether we wake or sleep we might live with him.
11: Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

13: and to esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves.
14: And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.
15: See that none of you repays evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to all.
16: Rejoice always,
17: pray constantly,
18: give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
19: Do not quench the Spirit,
20: do not despise prophesying,
21: but test everything; hold fast what is good,
22: abstain from every form of evil.
23: May the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24: He who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
25: Brethren, pray for us.
26: Greet all the brethren with a holy kiss.
27: I adjure you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the brethren.
