Cross-cultural Marriage Blessing Ceremony in the Sacred Reign of Peace for the Realization of a Peaceful World

The "Cross-cultural Marriage Blessing Ceremony in the Sacred Reign of Peace for the Realization of a Peaceful World" was held on February 22, 2007 at the Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center.
Over 500 couples from around the world took part in this ceremony. The emcee for that day was Rev. Sun Jo Hwang, president of FFWPU-Korea.
Rev. Hwang congratulated the brides and grooms and went on to explain the history and significance of the Blessing. He emphasized that the ceremony that day was all the more significant as it brought together children of Ambassadors for Peace beyond nationality, race and religion.
The opening prayer was given by Dr. Chang Shik Yang, regional president of North America. Following the prayer, Dr. Chung Hwan Kwak, international president of IIFWP, delivered the commemorative address asking the brides and grooms to ?/span>play a leading role in establishing a world of peace, by following in True Parents' footsteps in living for the sake of others and leading a life of true love.?
After the commemorative address the officiator’s attendants entered the room followed by the True Parents, the officiators of this day’s ceremony.
True Parents expression was that of utmost sincerity as they sprinkled Holy Water on the brides and grooms and even as they read aloud the wedding vows. In his benediction, True Father tearfully prayed for the realization of God’s dream on earth.
After the benediction the couples exchanged rings and vowed to be forever true to each other. True Father declared the Blessing ceremony complete.
On this day, Dr. Min Ha Kim, president of the Korean Ambassadors for Peace Association congratulated the newly weds and reminded them of how the true family movement centered on the Blessing was essentially in stopping the decline of family values and chaos stemming from the loss of sexual morals.
