On February 23, 2007, a total of more than over 22,000 gathered at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum and Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center to take part in the Commemorative Celebration for True Father’s 88th Birthday.

Many distinguished guests from Korean and abroad participated in the celebration that day including Tsakhia Elbegdorj, former prime minister of Mongolia and Lee Soo Sung, former prime minister of Korea.

Hon. Tsakhia Elbegdorj congratulated True Parents for their birthday saying, "They are real champions and living example for the building of world peace. We all know that not only True Father and True Mother are champions for building world peace, they also have wonderful children, great sons and great daughters.

Hon. Lee Soo Sung also expressed his respect to True Parents saying "Rev. Moon’s thesis that love within a family extends to become love for the nation and society cannot but find vivid sympathetic response in everybody’s heart. Rev. and Mrs. Moon are showing the example of this. True family movement in several countries is commended as a second renaissance and this is a truly inspiring phenomenon.

There was also a special message from His Holiness, Dalai Lama, head of Tibetan Buddhists which was read by Rev. Sun Jo Hwang:

Respected Rev. Sun Myung Moon, Mrs. Moon,

Some time ago I had a chance to invite to my residence Mr. Hyung-jin Moon. We shared a meaningful conversation about your far-reaching mission related to world peace and world religions.

I would like to express my appreciation to Mr. Hyung-jin Moon for inviting me to the World Peace Summit which is held this time and to sincerely congratulate Rev. Moon on his 88th and Mrs. Moon on her 65th birthday. May the blessing be with you so that you could realize your holy intentions.

During the celebration, Mr. Nobuyuki Azuma and his wife, Junko Azuma offered flowers to True Parents and gifts from the twelve regions were also offered to True Parents.

There was a symbolic ceremony of True Parents conferring the essence of their teachings of creating an ideal world based on God’s true love, true life and true lineage. Cheon Seong Gyeong in seven different languages and the Peace Messages in forty different languages were presented by True Parents to each nation.

On this day, True Parents delivered his address entitled, "God’s Ideal Family and the Responsibility the Citizens of Cheon Il Guk are Called to Fulfill. This message was also included as the twelfth peace message.

In his address Father emphasized that "Cheon Il Guk is a nation where two become one, and that "the absolute sexual ethics is the most important standard.

The commemorative ceremony that day ended with three cheers of eog mansei by Rev. Katsumi Otsuka, president of FFWPU-Japan
