Hoon Dok Hae
Notes: Changwoo Choi - www.tongilgyo.org

Hoon Dok Hae was held at Cheon Jeong Gung on June 6, 2010 while over 100 people attended, including Tongil Group Chairman Kook Jin Moon and his family, staff from Tongil Group, the Korean Church Headquarters, Seonghwasa (the official church publishing company) and the History Compilation Committee. Hoondoksa (official Hoon Dok Hae reader) Yeon Sil Yang read True Father's speech Let's be with the Father even if no one else will, from the eighth volume of the Collection of Speeches by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, which was originally given at the Former Headquarters Church (in Cheong Pa Dong) on December 13, 1959.

Twenty minutes after Hoon Dok Hae started, True Father said,

"Teacher Moon is now 91 years old. How can I make it to age 100? I'm worried that there will still be ten times one hundred fights remaining when I turn 100. Do you know how urgent I am to leave a foundation or some kind of words of a conditional standard, for you to be prepared to keep fighting when I'm gone? I woke up at midnight today. Since then, I couldn't sleep. I read this book and other stories about philosophers in miserable straits before I came to Hoon Dok Hae."
