Dorm Parents Needed at the Institute of Korean Studies for Foreign Students
The Institute of Korean Studies for Foreign Students is looking for a Second Generation couple interested in applying for the mission of dormitory parents for the Western Program in Seoul, Korea. Responsibilities would include caring for the spiritual, physical and emotional needs of 30 Second Generation 12-15 year-old teen-agers; leading morning and evening prayer services; participating in school-planned field trips; maintaining discipline in their school and dorm life; and in general being responsible for their health, education and welfare.
The goals of the school are to educate Blessed children in the Korean language, culture and history of Korea and the traditions of True Parents. This mission can be a very rewarding experience for those who are interested in guiding and training Second Generation children for their inevitable future roles in the building of God's Kingdom on Earth.
This couple would live in a two bedroom apartment in the dormitory and would receive free room and board plus a stipend of between 1,500,000 to 1,700,000 won per month, depending on educational level and experience. A limited health insurance plan is available for around $28/month. The school year begins in September and ends in the middle of July. Special consideration will be given to those who have successfully been through the Western Program and/or those who speak Korean.
