On the 12th, True Parents cutting the cake at the 'True Parents' Birthday Pledge and Commemorative Service' held at Cheon Jeong Gung Museum.
On February 12 (lunar calendar January 6), the 'True Parents' Birthday Pledge and Commemorative Service' was held magnificently with True Parents and the members of the True Family at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum.
Former and current world leaders, congressmen, Ambassadors for Peace, Unificationist leaders all levels, relatives of True Parents and around 3,000 members from around the world came to celebrate True Father's 89th and True Mother's 66th birthday.
Pledge Service
The Pledge Ceremony began at 7 am, with True Parents lighting the Holy Candles.
The MC for the Pledge Service was Rev. Chung-hwan Kwak, International President of IIFWPU. After the full bows offered by the True Children and representatives of each level, the Family Pledge was recited, Representative Report Prayer (Rev. and Mrs. Kwak), Cutting of the Congratulatory Cake, and the partaking of the Holy Food.
After Rev. Kwak explaining the background of True Parents' birth, he read True Father's speech that was read in previous True Parents' Birthday Celebrations. For the Pledge Service, Rev. Sun-jo Hwang, President of FFWPU-Korea, gave the 4 Cheers of Eok-manse.
Commemorative Service
At 10 am, the Commemorative Service started with Rev. Hwang as the MC. Firstly, there was a video presentation, titled, 'Mansei for the Ssang Hab Jubilee Years of the 7th and 8th Years of Cheon Il Guk of Universal Peace Federation', members gathered were able to look back on True Parents' long path of victory.
At 10:10, True Parents were welcomed to the hall with a big round of applause by the gathered members. Following the bow, everyone sang the Cheon Il Guk Anthem (Grace of the Holy Garden), Report Prayer (Rev. Do-sum Lim, General President of FFWPU Japan), Introduction of Distinguished Guests, and Congratulatory Address (Rev. Kwak).
Hon. Tuilaepa Lupesoliali Sailele Malielegaoi, Prime Minister of Samoa, and Mr. Su-song Lee, former president of Korean State Affairs gave Congratulatory Address. Prime Minister Tuilaepa said, "I am deeply grateful that I have learnt the vision of 'One Family Under God' and the life of living for others. I offer my congratulations to True Parents who have offered themselves for World Peace."
Former president of Korean State Affairs, Mr. Lee said, "When love and peace that True Parents are realized properly, I believe world peace will be established. Teacher Rev. and Mrs. Moon are the pride of the Korean People. I congratulate your birthday from the bottom of my heart."
Then, there was a presentation of flowers by blessed family representative (Mr. and Mrs. Bo-gun Hwang), and gifts were offered by representatives of each continent and nations. Also, from Mr. Yeong-hui Kim, former Church Leader, a 'Selection of Teacher Sun Myung Moon's Words' volume 473 -- 492 were presented.
A Providential View of the Pacific Rim Era in Light of God's Will
Then after bestowing the new translated Cheonseong Gyeong to each representatives of newly translated nations, True Parents declared a new message titled, 'A Providential View of the Pacific Rim Era in Light of God's Will'. True Parents introduced his achievements for the salvation of humanity and peace in various fields and then expressed his resolution to establish God's Will. At the end, told the gathering members that each of them should establish God's civilization and accomplish their own mission.
The Commemorative Service ended at 11:50 am, after 3 cheers of Eok-manse offered by Rev. Chang-shik Yang, North American Regional President. From 12: 30 pm, the Congratulatory Banquet began at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum with True Parents present.
