Peace King True Parents’ 90th Birthday Commemoration ‘2009 Marriage Blessing for the Godly Civilization under the Sacred Reign of Peace’ - Satellite link to 186 nations

The ‘2009 Marriage Blessing for the Godly Civilization under the Sacred Reign of Peace’ held in the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace through the satellite from Manhattan Center, New York (February 1, 2009)

On February 1, at 10 a.m., (January 31 8:00 p.m. in U.S.A.), as True Parents as the main officiators, the ‘Peace King True Parents’ 90th Birthday Commemoration, 2009 Marriage Blessing for the Godly Civilization under the Sacred Reign of Peace’ was held at blessing marriage halls in 186 nations around the world through satellite link. In Korea, the marriage blessing was held in the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace (Heavenly Palace) and 206 couples attended. Also, many guests came to celebrate and congratulate the newlyweds.

The day before, on January 31, the newlyweds gathered at the Chungshim International Youth Center etc. and attended the blessing orientation. On the morning of the blessing ceremony the bride and grooms entered the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace in lines.

At the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace, Rev. Seong-bok Hong, Vice Director of FFWPU-Korea Blessed Family Department, was the emcee and as True Parents’ substitutes, Rev. Dong-han Lee, Vice President of FFWPU-Korea, were the main officiators.

The Marriage Blessing started with an opening statement by the emcee, Rev. Chang-shik Yang, President of FFWPU-Korea. First there was welcoming remarks and invocation by In Jin Nim, Chairman of FFWPU-USA, and followed by a blessing address by Hyung Jin Nim, International President of FFWPU.

Then, there was a time for congratulatory address by representatives of each religious groups. After elder blessed families entered the hall as the attendants, True Parents, the main officiators, entered the hall. Hyung Jin Nim read the Report to Heaven, True Parents read the Affirmation of the Vows after sprinkling the Holy Water to the bride and grooms.

True Parents gave an invocation, “Inherit the new rightful lineage, and I allow you to connect to your descendants, so please raise and instruct them to become true families as models to be able to educate their children,” then Proclaimed to God and to the world that the bride and grooms had established their Blessing. After the Proclamation of the Blessing, representative blessed couple offered the flowers and gifts to True Parents.

Then there was a beautiful congratulatory song sang by the ‘New Hope Singers,’ organized by In Jin Nim, and raised the atmosphere of the ceremony. For the Congratulatory Remarks, Rev. Joseph Lowery, minister in the United Methodist Church, who also gave the inauguration benediction for President Barrack Obama, offered his remarks and congratulated the blessing. After the couples offered a bow to the officiators, 3 cheers of Eok Mansei was offered by True Parents and ended the Marriage Blessing Ceremony.

The Marriage Blessing Ceremony was held after the ‘Congratulatory Banquet for True Parents’ Birthday and Father Sun Myung Moon’s 90th Birthday,’ held in the Cheonseong Wanglim Palace on January 30, and the ‘Coronation for the Realm of Liberation for God, the King of Kings’ held at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum, January 31, and after ‘Coronation for the Realm of Liberation for God, the King of Kings’ that was held in Manhattan Center, USA, on January 31. It was a great blessing ceremony that had much providential meaning.
