On July 30, 2010, the members of the 145th Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop for International Blessed Children and the 146th Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop gathered at the Cheongshim International Youth Center for a Unification Sports Day. For every 40-day Workshop, Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim have prepared this sports activity for members from around world to unite and overcome barriers of language and culture and really experience the 'One Family Under God' ideal through sports.
The members left Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center at around 1:30 pm and headed for the youth center. From 2:00 pm, all 400 members gathered at the gymnasium of the youth center and welcomed Rev. Dong-bae Kim, international lecturer, to the stage for his opening address. After that, lecturer In-pyo Moon welcomed the main MC for the day from the youth center who suddenly danced and made all the members joyful and happy.
After a brief introduction, she started the exercise and started dancing. At first, some members were not too keen on dancing to the music, since it's not their usual thing, however, looking around where young, old and small children of all races smiling and dancing along the music, soon there were no one left who wasn't dancing to the joyful music.
After divided into two teams, the Pyeonghwa (Peace) team and Tongil (Unification) team, the members were seated in different places to do their cheering acts. Cheering squad were selected among the volunteers and showed their moves and made a cheering routine. From the start to the end this cheering team cheered their teams for victory!
There were various games to be played and everyone had a great time. The staff did a great job of raising the atmosphere of the games and everyone, even the pregnant sisters were having a great time.
For over 2 hours, members cheered, screamed, shouted, laughed, smiled and played where at the end, there were no uneasiness between nations but a bond and connection like brothers and sisters between the members.
