2010 Christmas Party in Chung Pyung

On December 24, 2010, at Chung Pyung Heaven and Earth Training Center, a Christmas Party was held at the Small Hall of Cheonseong Wanglim Palace. Every year the Christmas Party is held with Dae Mo Nim but unfortunately, Dae Mo Nim was at Brazil for a workshop tour. Also, because the date was in between the end of the 149th 40-day Workshop and the beginning of the 150th 40-day Workshop, there were not as many people there.

After a delicious lunch at the dining hall with hamburgers and chicken, members and family members of the Chung Pyung Staff gathered at the Small Hall at 1:00 pm to start the Christmas party. The MC was Lecturer Sang-o Kim, Department of Education and Planning, and Mr. Kim started it off with great humor and Korean jokes. The prayer was offered by Rev. Bok Moon, Japanese Office Director, and Rev. Choe-su Jae, Progress Department Director gave the opening address. After the address, Rev. Choe, Rev. Moon, vice church leader of Cheongshim Church, and team leader of 40-day workshop did the cake cutting. A special Christmas cake was prepared by the staff from Cheongshim Bakery and this was eaten later in the evening.

The first performance was a lovely singing by the Cheongshim Church Choir. This choir team has performed at many church events including events held with True Parents. They sang 3 beautiful songs with a sudden visit from a clown.

Then after the beautiful singing there was a performance by the Cheongshim Church Children's Choir team. They are a very talented group whom won a first prize at a recent choir tournament held in the area. The 20 or so children dressed in traditional Korean clothes sang a beautiful Korean song which sings of a child attending their parent.

After a great singing by the children there was a performance by the Chanyang Team from the 40-day Workshop. Due to lack of practice and short notice the members of the 40-day workshop members could not meet the previous choir team standard, however, the performance was entertaining.

Before the last performance, the vice church leader of Cheongshim Church came to the stage and sang a love song to all the members. Although, he, too, was notified the day before, he sang brilliantly which raised the Christmas atmosphere.

The last performance was given by the children of Korean-Philippines family at Cheongshim Church dancing performance. 5 girls dressed in cute Santa like clothes danced in great applause.

Before ending the exciting Christmas party, the Korean leader came to the stage and sang a ballad. His performance was surprisingly great and for international and Japanese members it was a chance to see the recent Korean pop culture.

After 3 cheers of Eok-manse, the Christmas party ended and hopefully next year, Dae Mo Nim would join us. We hope everyone to have a great new year!!
