On April 6, the members of the 152nd Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop and the 68th Chung Pyung 40-day Workshop for Blessed Wives of around 80 went to Paju Wonjon and attended the 'Cheong-gi 2nd Year Hanshik Paju Wonjon Worship Ceremony'.
This day is called the 'Hanshik' which marks the 105th day since the winter solstice and is considered as one of the 4 great celebrating days of Korea. The ban the use of fire during the Hanshik period and eat cold food and in Korean families they will prepare different kind of beverages and offer their respect to their ancestors.
On this day, representing the True Family, Hyo Jin Nim's wife Yeo-na Nim was welcomed and started the worship ceremony at around 10:35 am which was followed by lighting of the candles, offering of flowers and then offering of drink and bows.
For this worship ceremony, President Jun-ho Seok, UPF-Korea, explained about the Wonjon, 'In the late 1960s, the Paju Wonjon started after the donation of 500,000 acres of land. Then, Hen Jin Nim and grandfather Yun-guk Moon's grave was moved and with Hwi Jin Nim and president Hyo-won Eu and other elder blessed families were moved here and after the Seunghwa of Heung Jin Nim in 1984, True Father gave the name Paju Wonjon to this area.
The Wonjon is the original palace of Adam and Eve and is a place where the Prince of Victory (Heung Jin Nim) who appeared for the first time in history resides instead of True Parents. On November 30, 1983, True Parents visited Heung Jin Nim's accident site and offered gratitude to Heung Jin Nim who sacrificed his life for the 2nd Generation that was in the same car and made the decision to send Heung Jin Nim to the spirit world and held the Unification Ceremony. Then, proclaimed the Day of Victory of Love, saying that 'Win against death with love'. As a result of the Day of Victory of Love, the Seunghwa Ceremony started to be held and through the Day of Victory of Love and the Seunghwa Ceremony, Heung Jin Nim gained the qualification of the prince on behalf of True Parents so that is why this place is called the Wonjon.'
40-day workshop members who participated in this ceremony were able to take part in this solemnity ceremony and share the offering with others and had a chance to take a commemorative photograph with Yeo-na Nim who was giving out all the offerings to the members. They also visited the Paju Church and ate lunch and viewed the historical documents and photos in the church.
