Prestigious Cheon Jeong Gung Museum

On the 3rd day of the Purification Azalea Festival (May 6, 2012), there was a chance for members to have a Cheon Jeong Gung Museum Pilgrimage. There were many foreign members who have never visited the Museum and many were excited to get on the bus which departed from the CheongShim International Medical Center. The pilgrimage first goes to the CheongShim Peace World Center which was used on the previous day for having True Parents and listening to their speech.

Following the guide, members came in and sat in the seats of the stadium, still feeling the excitement from the day before. As they sat down, Mr. Hag-un Lim, Director of CheongShim Peace World Center came to the front and explained the importance of the World Center.

He said, 'There are 3 main missions for this CheongShim Peace World Center bestowed by True Parents. The 1st mission is to be a place proclaiming the Words, the 2nd, a place to hold the Holy Marriage Blessing and the 3rd to be a place of cultural performance and sports activity.' He also shared to all the attending guests that there are plans to have lectures with the theme of True Parents' words.

Then, the members got on to the bus and arrived at the Cheon Jeong Gung Museum. They were warmly welcomed by the staff at the Museum.

The pilgrimage started after dividing into 3 teams of Korea, Japan and International. First, at the water fountain, there was an explanation that True Father came out one day and meditated for about an hour there.

As the members moved near the main building there was an announcement that True Parents are holding a Hoon Dok Hae at that very moment. Normally, a pilgrimage is not allowed while a Hoon Dok Hae is undergoing however, this time it was allowed and members were grateful to be in such prestigious moment.

After going through a gallery which was also the first time to be opened to the public, members moved to the main entrance and arrived at the Ilsonjeon (pine tree). Since the late 1960s, True Parents who often came to Chung Pyung Holy Ground would climb this mountain and pray and meditate at this pine tree. The pine tree is a symbol of Chung Pyung Holy Ground bestowed by Heavenly Father. The Cheon Jeong Gung Museum was built 50 meters from its original position to protect this pine tree. All members had a time to pray at the pine tree and feel the sincere heart that True Parents had at that time.

Then the members moved into the special exhibition room which was one of the highlights for this pilgrimage. The theme for this special exhibition room was 'Birth of Principle', and True Father's signed original Divine Principle and the lamp that was used at the time of making this book was displayed. According to the guide, it was around May when father started to write this book and then finished the following May. That is why May is also called the 'Month of the Principle'.

On the other side of the exhibition room, a special prayer room was prepared. As you entered the prayer room you could choose envelopes with True Parents words in it according to the language and as you choose one you were able to read words of True Parents. Also, here, members were able to write a letter which was explained that True Parents would read it directly. Members offered their prayers and with sincerity wrote their letters to True Parents.
